For guys who don't like mapping.

Converting .sm and .dwi to .osu.

Single steps - Hit Circles

The notes will be set randomly.

How do you plan to bring the notes into the map in a way that looks decent? Randomly bringing a set of notes without caring about spacing, flow, and hitsounds is definitely not the way to make a map.

Until you have a nice way to implement this, no support.

Pretty much this...
Also osu! editor is better anyways so why would you want this.

Try searching first, although I'm pretty sure that there wouldn't be a way to just convert .sm or .dwi files to .osu, especially for the reasons mentioned above.

pretty much what's already been said

and when I think about stepmania stepfiles compared to beatmaps, if you just dumped the contents of a stepfile into the editor, it would look like a huge, fucking, nasty mess.

you'd just be better off making a beatmap from scratch because turning a stepfile into a half-decent beatmap would take the rest of your life.
