Get single-difficulty map ranked with 4:57 of drain time

Hello,

I am working on a map for a somewhat long song (total of 5:05, but there are several seconds of silence at the end). After mapping basically every part of it that has music, I get to a total of 4:57 of drain time.

From the ranking criteria page, I see that songs with 5 minutes of drain time or more can be ranked with a single difficulty in the map. Sadly I don't have that much spare time to work on additional difficulties, so I was hoping for a way to get ranked with my 4:57 of drain time. Some investigation did lead to a few examples of ranked maps with similar drain time below 5 minutes (and a single difficulty):

https://osu.ppy.sh/s/336345 - 4:57 drain time
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/373240 - 4:58 drain time
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/372358 - 4:59 drain time

Can someone please clarify for me how should I proceed if I want to get the map ranked in the same way? When I try to submit my map in the editor, the option to submit to pending beatmaps is not enabled, since I only have a single difficulty.

The drain time shown on the beatmap page doesn't included with the spinners. So, counting your final spinner, your map has a drain time of 5:01, and it can be qualified.

Approval maps always go in Work-in-Progress. When the map is bubbled, you can ask a staff to move it in the Pending section, or he/she will move it into Pending if the staff checks the WIP section. When it comes to single difficulty maps, you need two bubbles, and a flame.

Thank you for the info sheela901

Note that if the total drain (including a spinner at the end) is less then 5 minutes you need a full spread
Or just edit the .mp3 so the final spinner is 10-20 seconds long (instead of 5-10) for a big margin

sheela said pretty much everything on the topic, the only thing I have to add that sliders behave just like spinners when calculating the drain time on the website, meaning that they can also reduce the draintime by 1-x seconds(x=how many seconds you need for that sick sliderart).
