I don't know if this is the right forum for this, I don't mind if it gets moved.

I notice that with sliders, if you get less than 300 points from it, you lose your combo, but not with circles. I think either circles should have the same combo break functonality, or sliders shouldn't have it. Either way, the combo break with sliders doesn't make much sense to me. Why make one type break a combo just because it's almost off beat, when the other type doesn't do that?

It's not that you get "less than 300 points". you're missing a slider tick.

You only lose accuracy on sliders due to aim-issues(getting out of the sliderballarea) or hitting so late that it would have been considered a miss for circles.
This very forgiving behaviour of sliders is something that is overthought at the moment and it'll most likely change at some point in the future.
At the osu! world cup 2015 there was already a system called "score v2" used that considers inaccurate hits on sliders.

Also, changing the title would be sensible

You can get 100s and not break your combo. You can just ignore the slider end as long as you catch all the slider ticks and hit the start of it and your combo wont break. Slider hitwindow is more forgiving than circles, and the only way you can get less than a 300 and combo break is by completely missing the slider head, missing slider ticks, or going beyond a certain range from the slider ball. You basically hit the slider or miss it, there is no accuracy judgment.
