Nice to see a new mapper. Requested from my queue.

[General]

Title should just be Crossing Field. See this map, for example (same artist, so I'm assuming same naming applies), where the "English Cover" was missed out.

AR5 on cup and AR6 on salad may work better for spread.
CS3 is generally quite high on a cup, and CS4 is definitely high on a salad. I think a CS2.5, CS3, CS3.5 spread would work better.
Make the cup HP3 please, for better spread.

You might want to resize the background to 1366 by 768 pixels, this is generally the accepted size, and yours is currently not this size.

This doesn't feel like it's timed correctly. 00:00:754 - is a lot better of a place for the offset. This explains the high amount of 1/4 ticks you had to use, as usually, prominent beats are on the 1/1 ticks (as in white ticks). You'll need to resnap some stuff, to fit the song better, but you should be able to get rid of the usage of most 1/4 ticks, as usually the 1/1 ticks on the new offset are better.
00:42:821 - There is no need to have a new red timing point here, please remove it.

New Combo structure could be better, I think a good way to do it is stick to one every 4 beats (as in every 4 white ticks).

Hitsounds throughout the map feel very loud, reduce volume, maybe?

[Cup]

Please map the intro, like you did in the other difficulties, it shouldn't be very hard to add in.
00:30:837 (1) - Would be better to map this as a 2/1 slider repeating once (As in, the same as it is now, but with a repeat tick in the middle, and of course snapped with the new timing).
I know cups are generally easy, but I'm not a fan of the parts where you have to stand still for longer than 2 seconds, it feels boring, even for that level of playing. Try to involve some movement in those sections!
00:42:904 (1,1) - I don't feel as though there is enough reaction time between this spinner and the slider, making it feel difficult to play. You might want to change this around a bit.
Using 1/2 time between notes on this bpm could be weird to play, if the notes are far apart, so try to avoid them unless they're important notes to map, or if you're fine with having them close together.
Generally, try using slightly higher distances on very strong sounds, to try and make it fit better with the song, and add more movement during the standstill parts.

[Salad]

There's one dash in this whole map, I feel as though the song could suit a few more, try to find strong sounds and use dashes to emphasise them. But remember, don't overuse them!
00:05:027 (4) - The triple here looks weird, try to avoid this kind of weird looking pattern. x:152 works well, for example, here.
00:06:033 (6) - A dash to this would be a very nice placement for one, as this sound is a very good example of a strong sound.

[Salad Bar]

I think the difficulty name on this could be seen as confusing. I see the name and think it's a salad, but then it has HDashes, like a platter. I know you're allowed to have a custom name for the hardest diff but I'm not sure on this one. If this is a salad, like you say, then HDashes shouldn't be used.

00:12:318 - Two timing points here, please remove one.
00:03:351 (3) - This again is a kind of weird looking triple, I feel. x:356 for example would be nice.
00:16:089 (1) - This is a very weird place to have a hyper to. I would try to keep hypers to strong notes (Again, not overused, though, try to keep a low amount), and this feels quite weak, to me.
00:21:787 (4) - Making sliders like this go to the right instead is a lot better in terms of flow. Try to keep your maps in general flowing well and nicely for the player, especially at these low diffs!
Try using normal dashes to help emphasise strong beats, but HDashes to help emphasise the really strong beats. This helps to accent the song well, and makes for a good and fun map to play!

[Spread]

I feel like you could maybe map one more difficulty above what you currently have, it would feel nice considering the fact that the song would support it.

Sorry for not doing a full mod, but I felt going through the major issues would help this map in a better way. Don't just look at the points I mentioned, but also look through the map and apply the logic throughout the rest of the diff as well. Remember to keep your map fitting to the song through the use of dashes and HDashes only to strong beats, and use a nice variety of patterns to keep the map fun, whilst also using a fitting timeline and nice flow!

Alright, done ;)

AR5 on cup and AR6 on salad may work better for spread. ~Yup and done
CS3 is generally quite high on a cup, and CS4 is definitely high on a salad. I think a CS2.5, CS3, CS3.5 spread would work better. ~Mmkay
Make the cup HP3 please, for better spread. ~Done.

You'll need to resnap some stuff, to fit the song better, but you should be able to get rid of the usage of most 1/4 ticks, as usually the 1/1 ticks on the new offset are better. ~Thanks, I seem to be really off with timing.

00:42:821 - There is no need to have a new red timing point here, please remove it. ~It's gone.

New Combo structure could be better, I think a good way to do it is stick to one every 4 beats (as in every 4 white ticks). ~There are some exceptions, but for the most part, done. (For example the line "Today | I'll find | a way |" are all new combos).

Hitsounds throughout the map feel very loud, reduce volume, maybe? ~I'll lower it, I do agree that in the Platter difficulty, it's louder than it should be.

~It sound better like this, yeah.
I know cups are generally easy, but I'm not a fan of the parts where you have to stand still for longer than 2 seconds, it feels boring, even for that level of playing. Try to involve some movement in those sections! ~I can see how this would turn away newer player, did.
00:42:904 (1,1) - I don't feel as though there is enough reaction time between this spinner and the slider, making it feel difficult to play. You might want to change this around a bit. ~Shortened the spinner to the "-part" syllable in "apart".
Using 1/2 time between notes on this bpm could be weird to play, if the notes are far apart, so try to avoid them unless they're important notes to map, or if you're fine with having them close together. ~I feel that they're important notes to have, so I'm gonna leave them as is.
Generally, try using slightly higher distances on very strong sounds, to try and make it fit better with the song, and add more movement during the standstill parts. ~Duly noted.

[Salad]

There's one dash in this whole map, I feel as though the song could suit a few more, try to find strong sounds and use dashes to emphasize them. But remember, don't overuse them! ~I added a few more where I felt they would be nice. I'll likely add a few more as time goes on.
00:05:027 (4) - The triple here looks weird, try to avoid this kind of weird looking pattern. x:152 works well, for example, here. ~Fixed.
00:06:033 (6) - A dash to this would be a very nice placement for one, as this sound is a very good example of a strong sound. ~Added

I know you're allowed to have a custom name for the hardest diff but I'm not sure on this one. If this is a salad, like you say, then HDashes shouldn't be used. ~I was trying to find an intermediate between the two. I changed it to reflect a Platter map.

00:12:318 - Two timing points here, please remove one. ~Removed.
00:03:351 (3) - This again is a kind of weird looking triple, I feel. x:356 for example would be nice. ~Moved.
00:16:089 (1) - This is a very weird place to have a hyper to. I would try to keep hypers to strong notes (Again, not overused, though, try to keep a low amount), and this feels quite weak, to me. ~Removed it, added a different note. I may put in another if I can find a meaningful spot.
00:21:787 (4) - Making sliders like this go to the right instead is a lot better in terms of flow. Try to keep your maps in general flowing well and nicely for the player, especially at these low diffs! ~Done.

Thank you for everything, I really appreciate your efforts in this!

Greetings from my queue.

blablablabla
[Platter]
  1. 00:00:083 (1,2,3) - don't start the notes so far to the right.
  2. 00:07:457 (1,2,1) - reduce distance. and make this into 1 combo.
  3. 00:09:971 (2,1,2,3) - 1 combo.
  4. 00:10:809 (3,1,2) - try not to stack notes, make the player move!
  5. 00:17:346 (2,3,1,2) - ^
  6. 00:19:524 (1,2,1,2,3) - 1 combo.
  7. 00:23:798 (1,2) - don't put sliders on blue tics. they don't follow the song at all D:
  8. 00:24:888 (1,2,3,4,5) - those could be spaced out way more.
  9. 00:26:061 (5) - this reverse slider doesnt fit at all. doesn't follow anything in the song.
  10. 00:26:564 (1,2,3) - don't stack notes.
  11. 00:38:212 - really inconsistent usage of streams. try to make those streams equally distanced, have around the same amount of notes, make sure the combos aren't seperated in the middle of the streams and have a proper jump/slider jump between them, all according to the background noise.
  12. 00:55:893 (1,2,3,1) - don't stack notes.
  13. 00:58:742 (2,3,4) - jumps are way too far.
  14. 01:03:435 (3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2) - seperate the combos properly (every 3 note).
  15. 01:04:776 (3,1,2) - don't stack notes.
  16. 01:17:848 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - ^
  17. 01:22:709 (1,2,3,4) - jumps are too far.

[Rain]
Check your volume changes a little bit. Right from the start the volume is at 100% and then goes to 20 - 40%.
Distance Snap should be around 1.70 to 1.90 for rain difficulties. but since you use long slider to emphasize the vocals, it kinda fits. but next time you make a rain, keep that in mind.
And watch out to not over-use your inherited timing points! a lot of places in them aren't needed, look over all of them and delete the ones that are between sliders, between notes, etc.. + it's not really necessary to change the SV.
  1. 00:00:083 (1,2,3) - make those equally distanced, just so it looks better right from the start.
  2. 00:03:267 (2,3,1) - ^ (or you could add hyperdash like 00:05:949 (3,4,1) - )
  3. 00:03:435 (1,2) - reduce distance a little bit.
  4. 00:06:117 (1,2) - reduce distance or add hyperdash
  5. 00:07:122 (2,1) - avoid having notes stacked on-top of eachother. make the player move at all times.
  6. 00:09:971 (2,1) - hyperdash or reduce distance.
  7. 00:25:390 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - make this into 1 combo, don't seperate the combo in the middle of a small stream like that
  8. 00:25:726 (2,3) - Hyperdash feels better there.
  9. 00:27:569 (1) - no NC
  10. 00:28:072 (1) - remove spinner, this part can be mapped.
  11. 00:31:591 (1,2) - reduce distance.
  12. 00:34:776 (1,2,3,4,1) - make this into 1 combo.
  13. 00:38:295 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - all of this in 1 combo. and the stream could be a little straighter.
  14. 00:38:966 - something missing there, you could probobly pull the 00:39:133 (10) - at this empty space and then start a new combo.
  15. 00:39:469 (11,12,1,2,3) - you could make this into more of a curve instead of starting out to be stacked and then left movement. and also this stream could be longer considering the backgrounf music still keeps going while there is nothing mapped at this point.
  16. 00:40:307 (4,5,6,7,8,9) - make this into 1 combo. and the stream could be straighter (or going on a smooth curve).
  17. 00:40:977 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - 1 combo. don't seperate the combos in the middle of a small stream.
  18. 00:50:027 (1,2,1) - add more movement.
  19. 01:17:848 (4) - new combo.
  20. 01:19:692 (4,1,2,3,4) - reduce distance, when the jump is too far and there's no hyperdash, it makes it really difficult to hit them. and it's not recommended to map like this in modern CTB (source: CLSW)
  21. 01:22:038 (3,4,5,6,7,8) - ^^
  22. 01:30:921 - un-used inherited timing point, please remove it.

A great way to learn how to really map: look at how other people do it. Look at the editor of some ranked songs, take notes, look at different paterns and try to use them in future songs! For Platter difficulties, try to make the player constantly move. and also try to implement a few hyperdash, but make sure they aren't too extreme. For rain too, but be careful with your distance usage, sometime you have to make sure the notes aren't too far and if everything is Hyperdashed properly if you intent on making a big jumps in some parts.
In all honesty, get some more practice on other songs, and then come back to this map. I would totally like to see this ranked one day, but i feel like you need a little bit more experience.
Good luck in your future of mapping!

  1. 00:00:083 (1,2,3) - don't start the notes so far to the right. ~Moved a little left of center.
  2. 00:07:457 (1,2,1) - reduce distance. and make this into 1 combo. ~Done.
  3. 00:09:971 (2,1,2,3) - 1 combo. ~K.
  4. 00:10:809 (3,1,2) - try not to stack notes, make the player move! ~Moved, duly noted.
  5. 00:17:346 (2,3,1,2) - ^ ~Moveded.
  6. 00:19:524 (1,2,1,2,3) - 1 combo. ~1 combo'd.
  7. 00:23:798 (1,2) - don't put sliders on blue tics. they don't follow the song at all D: ~Oh no, so sad! They're in their rightful place.
  8. 00:24:888 (1,2,3,4,5) - those could be spaced out way more. ~Yup.
  9. 00:26:061 (5) - this reverse slider doesn't fit at all. doesn't follow anything in the song. ~Replaced with a normal slider.
  10. 00:26:564 (1,2,3) - don't stack notes. ~Surry. =(
  11. 00:38:212 - really inconsistent usage of streams. try to make those streams equally distanced, have around the same amount of notes, make sure the combos aren't separated in the middle of the streams and have a proper jump/slider jump between them, all according to the background noise. ~Added some notes between the second stream, and connected the second and third. Also put on distance lock, so that should fix the inconsistency in spacing.
  12. 00:55:893 (1,2,3,1) - don't stack notes. ~Christ. Fixed.
  13. 00:58:742 (2,3,4) - jumps are way too far. ~Reduced distance between 3 & 4, 2 is still an HDash.
  14. 01:03:435 (3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2) - separate the combos properly (every 3 note). ~I prefer the combos as they're separated now. They're separated at 00:52:206 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) the same way, and it doesn't seem to be an issue.
  15. 01:04:776 (3,1,2) - don't stack notes. ~Done.
  16. 01:17:848 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - ^ ~Done.
  17. 01:22:709 (1,2,3,4) - jumps are too far. ~Reduced distance.

  2. 00:03:267 (2,3,1) - ^ (or you could add hyperdash like 00:05:949 (3,4,1) - ) ~Turned it into an HDash.
  3. 00:03:435 (1,2) - reduce distance a little bit. ~Okey-doke.
  4. 00:06:117 (1,2) - reduce distance or add hyperdash ~Reduced distance.
  5. 00:07:122 (2,1) - avoid having notes stacked on-top of eachother. make the player move at all times. ~Moved further from 1.
  6. 00:09:971 (2,1) - Hyperdash or reduce distance. ~Hyperdash.
  7. 00:25:390 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - make this into 1 combo, don't separate the combo in the middle of a small stream like that ~Gotcha.
  8. 00:25:726 (2,3) - Hyperdash feels better there. ~I do agree, it plays nicely.
  9. 00:27:569 (1) - no NC ~None whatsoever.
  10. 00:28:072 (1) - remove spinner, this part can be mapped. ~Mapped.
  11. 00:31:591 (1,2) - reduce distance. ~Reduced.

  13. 00:38:295 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - all of this in 1 combo. and the stream could be a little straighter. ~Straightened and evenly spaced now.
  14. 00:38:966 - something missing there, you could probably pull the 00:39:133 (10) - at this empty space and then start a new combo. ~I think I understand what you're saying. Done.
  15. 00:39:469 (11,12,1,2,3) - you could make this into more of a curve instead of starting out to be stacked and then left movement. and also this stream could be longer considering the background music still keeps going while there is nothing mapped at this point. ~Completely re-did this part.
  16. 00:40:307 (4,5,6,7,8,9) - make this into 1 combo. and the stream could be straighter (or going on a smooth curve). ~Smoothed out the curve.
  17. 00:40:977 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - 1 combo. don't separate the combos in the middle of a small stream. ~Okay.
  18. 00:50:027 (1,2,1) - add more movement. ~Done.
  19. 01:17:848 (4) - new combo. ~K.
  20. 01:19:692 (4,1,2,3,4) - reduce distance, when the jump is too far and there's no hyperdash, it makes it really difficult to hit them. and it's not recommended to map like this in modern CTB (source: CLSW) ~Understood, and taken care of.
  21. 01:22:038 (3,4,5,6,7,8) - ^^ ~^
  22. 01:30:921 - unused inherited timing point, please remove it. ~Removed.

For rain too, but be careful with your distance usage, sometimes you have to make sure the notes aren't too far and if everything is Hyperdashed properly if you intend on making big jumps in some parts.
In all honesty, get some more practice on other songs, and then come back to this map. I would totally like to see this ranked one day, but i feel like you need a little bit more experience.
Good luck in your future of mapping!
I totally agree that I have little experience in mapping Rain difficulties; I too would like to see this ranked, and I'll take a look at other maps as well.

Thank you so much for your time and efforts! Best of luck with your career and mod queue! :D

  2. 00:03:267 (3) - make this a slider. ~K.
  3. 00:04:441 (1,2,3) - this stream hard to catch by new players. ~Straightened out the sliders.

  5. 00:44:664 (3) - more suitable with a slider. ~I'll leave it as is.
  6. 00:46:005 (3,1) - hard hyperdash, consider reduce some distance. ~Reduced a bit of distance.

*My mod here are more on the patterns/jumps and missing notes. Apply it if possible.

Cup

00:11:480 (1) - left side of the map is crowded. Just to make it better, kindly press Ctrl-H. nothing will change with the difficulty of catching it.

00:26:061 (2,1) - overmapped for a cup. to make it simpler, remove (1), extend (2) at 00:26:564 , tail might end at x: 208 , then add another slider here 00:26:899 - at x: 336
00:28:072 (1) - then move this spinner at 00:27:904 -

00:46:340 (1) - move this closer to 00:45:670 (1) - at x: 296

00:47:346 (2) - we don't need this single note here, remove it. then extend the slider 00:46:340 (1) - there.

00:54:217 (1,2) - why not make this a slider too? like what you did at 00:52:206 (1,1,1) - ??

00:54:720 (1,2) - I don't understand this one.. you could do better than this.. what I did to make it better is, first remove those, add note/slider at 00:54:720 (2) - x: 456 , and a note at 00:55:223 (3) - x: 376 , and another slider at 00:55:558 (4) - x: 256 , and last 00:56:396 (5) - a slider here x: 236

*get more mods to make this cup play fun and better.

Salad

00:18:184 - , 00:19:524 - wtf is this? do you forgot to map this part? or is it just me that is looking for a spinner here? haha

01:15:837 (1,2) - make the distance closer. too hard for a normal ctb player. (imo)

Platter

00:44:664 (3) - this isn't a stream... you are currently following the vocal, so why add this one? .. you could simply add a 1/2 slider here.

01:23:714 (4) - why not a spinner? change this one please..

*I won't go further more and mod all the stuffs/diffs .. This kind of mapping is told "old", you need to experiment MORE with the editor, and explore MORE patterns to make your diffs better. I suggest to take a look on other ctb mapsets out there, and try to implement some of the patterns that you will see here in your mapset. Help yourself! to get more better on mapping CTB diffs! :D

Goodluck!

Cup

00:11:480 (1) - left side of the map is crowded. Just to make it better, kindly press Ctrl-H. nothing will change with the difficulty of catching it. ~Did that, and also Ctrl+H'd the note after it.

00:26:061 (2,1) - overmapped for a cup. to make it simpler, remove (1), extend (2) at 00:26:564 , tail might end at x: 208 , then add another slider here 00:26:899 - at x: 336 ~Done, but the coordinated are slightly different.
00:28:072 (1) - then move this spinner at 00:27:904 ~I prefer the spinner where it is.

00:46:340 (1) - move this closer to 00:45:670 (1) - at x: 296 ~Moved.

00:47:346 (2) - we don't need this single note here, remove it. then extend the slider 00:46:340 (1) - there. ~That sounds much better.

00:54:217 (1,2) - why not make this a slider too? like what you did at 00:52:206 (1,1,1)?? ~I left it like that as its own separate thing, since it felt different from the pattern. Looking back at the other maps, though, it looks like if follows more what you suggested here. Done and done.

~That looks pretty good.

*get more mods to make this cup play fun and better. ~I'll see what I can do.

Salad

00:18:184 - , 00:19:524 - wtf is this? do you forget to map this part? or is it just me that is looking for a spinner here? haha ~I could've sworn there was a spinner there... Anyways, mapped it to the drum beats in the background.

01:15:837 (1,2) - make the distance closer. too hard for a normal ctb player. (imo) ~I moved 2 closer, but it will still requires a dash.

Platter

00:44:664 (3) - this isn't a stream... you are currently following the vocal, so why add this one? .. you could simply add a 1/2 slider here. ~Because it made sense at the time? I dunno. I made it a slider.

01:23:714 (4) - why not a spinner? change this one please.. ~I feel like the note will lose some of the effect from being an HDash. I'll leave it as is.

*I won't go further more and mod all the stuffs/diffs .. This kind of mapping is told "old", you need to experiment MORE with the editor, and explore MORE patterns to make your diffs better. Once again, thank you for your time and efforts! I greatly appreciate it! :)

This is my first time modding, but I'll try to help.

I'll try to mod Platter here. Since I'm not the best at modding, I'm only gonna point out the things that felt the most problematic for ranking. Hopefully this helps.

GENERAL:

The spacing at a LOT of sections does not feel like it flows right or it feels like there's supposed to be a jump. I would suggest remapping several sections that look stream-ish probably unintentionally. Example of this, (00:04:441 through 00:05:446),( 00:10:307 through 00:11:145) and (00:33:938 through 00:34:776).
It feels like it switches awkwardly from the beat and the vocals but I can't really pin-point exactly.

SPECIFIC:

00:03:267 - (2) This pattern is oddly spaced. It would work better if (2) and (1) of the next combo were both moved to the right and closer to (3).
00:46:340 - This jump seems too hard for even a platter difficulty. I suggest reshaping the (1) slider and moving it a bit to the left so the spacing feels better.
00:57:066 - Same as the one above. I suggest reshaping the slider and then moving the (1) slider to the left.

That's what I could put into words what I felt was off. I hope this helps.

~0:04:441: I feel like this is a slower stream sort of thing, and I'm gonna leave it be.
~0:10:307: I removed 4 in the combo, and removed all associated timing points.
~0:33:938: Changed 00:33:938 (2) to a circle instead of a slider. That may help the issue.

00:03:267 - (2) This pattern is oddly spaced. It would work better if (2) and (1) of the next combo were both moved to the right and closer to (3). ~I see what you're saying. I'll move it over to the right a bit.
