01:07:644 (67644|2) - rather uncomfortable. move to 4 perhaps?

01:15:811 (75811|1) - to 4. hand balance

01:23:478 - add on 4. it's just feel empty. also, kick noise.

03:28:144 (208144|0) - to 5 seems more symmetrical

03:37:478 - seems build up noise end here. cut the LN maybe.

Don't tell me i'm supposed to alternate thumbs, because no normal player will be able to switch gears that quickly and realize they're supposed to alternate thumbs here unless they really take a closer look at the pattern in the editor like we can. (Besides, actually pulling off the alternating thumb jack like this is quite difficult in itself. You try combo-ing this part of the map.)

Just want to point out that every time you have a pattern like this, 03:47:651 (227651|4,227651|3,227818|4) , where you're forcing a finger to press, lift, and press again in a short amount of time while the adjacent finger is held down, is quite difficult. Skilled players will be able to handle it, but this just might be one of those awkward patterns you should put some effort into ironing out.

Kinda wondering why quite a fair amount of 1/4 sounds aren't mapped. Maybe a personal choice idk just wanted to know, since you're really lowering your options in pattern varieties by ignoring them. Which is a little bit of a shame, to be honest.

Stuff in the list probably reoccurs throughout the diff, but I'm doing this at 4 am in the morning so I might not spot absolutely everything.

  1. 00:20:818 - Concept related, I guess. Firstly, not too big of a fan of the pattern going from a fairly comfy 1/2 to a 1/8 burst. Feel like the spike is a little too large for that. Otherwise, the pattern itself isn't really that comfortable, so just gonna drop the suggestion of changing it to something that is. Aside from that, it's the only time you actually use 1/8 in the entire diff apart from the end, which is really weird, to be honest.
  2. 00:31:401 - I feel like this shouldn't be left unmapped, given how you've just mapped the previous 7/4 or so since there's the same 1/4 sound present here.
  3. 00:46:068 - missing note(s) for the tune thing(?)
  4. 00:51:401 - ^ (you get the idea I guess. Might be a reason I've it's constantly not done so I'll stop mentioning these.)
  5. 02:08:151 (128151|2,128485|3,129651|2,129985|3,130318|4) - Can I just ask why these are 3/4 instead of 1/2 or 1/1? I mean it feels a little counterintuitive, made a little worse by the excruciatingly high OD. (if it's for the echo which occupies the last 1/4 I'd strongly recommend against mapping that and shortening the LNs instead.)
  6. 02:27:901 (147901|4) - This looks a little bit too awkward for the right hand perhaps? Maybe move into col 2.
  7. 02:39:985 (159985|4,160068|1) - I feel like these are being mapped to the same thing, so it just comes off a little odd to me. Mind explaining them? (and like every other time this kinda thing happens lol)
  8. 02:40:151 - Missing one soft-hitwhistle2?
  9. 02:50:235 - I feel like if 02:49:985 (169985|2) has a note then there should be one here too.

  15. 04:05:068 (245068|3,245151|4,245235|2) - How come these are only singles compared to doubles on several other occasions? (Personally, I would prioritise making these doubles rather than putting the LNs in, but that's just me.)

  17. 04:26:818 (266818|0,266818|2,266818|4,266818|1) - I'm not properly understanding the usage of these quads, I swear.

  19. 06:12:818 - again, feel like the sudden 1/8 usage is really bizarre, more so that the jump happens at the very end of the map and generates an inconsistency in terms of following stuff for layering.
I mean, it looks nice aesthetically, but in terms of being varied per se, it suffers a little due to neglecting quite a lot of the 1/4 things, which kinda makes the map a little underwhelming. Wait, I've said this already. Must be tired...

Alright I'm not asleep yet, that's good...

Anyhow, I'll try not to lose this map somewhere (database frequently corrupts these days for no reason), but let me know whenever you've responded n stuff.

Just wanting to check those LN lengths again I suppose. (Since I asked for a change, they look a little inconsistent in places perhaps.) You ok with the LN lengths/placements etc being different in each kiai? Looks intentional but wanted to confirm.

There's a couple of inherited timing points that appear to be unsnapped; pretty sure those aren't intentional?

  1. 01:28:151 (88151|0,88151|4) - are these meant to be at 30%? I mean, 01:26:818 (86818|4,86818|0) has them at 20% each and 01:27:318 (87318|2) has 30% for a single one. 60% might be a little too much.
  2. 02:27:985 (147985|3,147985|0,147985|1) - I... don't remember these minijacks being here lol. Kinda feels a little unsuited for the map? (iirc you use this minijack thing only 2 or 3 times throughout the map) Might wanna continue the rolly thing you've got going on? The LN should be enough to indicate the end of the roll.
  3. 02:50:818 (170818|4,170818|2,170818|3) - I guess I'll reiterate myself on this point with a little more explanation. One of the notes here contains the hitfinish rather than a sample import, which has its volume independently controlled by the timing point. I mean, if you're stuck for patterns, it might be a good idea to ask about and see what other people think. (The mirrored patterns work fine as a gimmick to be honest. Trying to remember who else specialises in 5K though...)
