New mod idea
Introduction
So, what I, and some others think could be a cool mod to have in CtB, is the Fade-In mod that mania have. In CtB it could play out really nice too, and also add up a little more challenge for players. The mod is simple, its the opposite of Hidden. So, since this is essentially the Hidden counter mod, lets compare them a little.
Hidden: Notes falls down from the screen. Around the middle of the screen, they start to dissapear, forcing players to time their movements.
Fade-In: Notes falls down from the screen. Allready faded! When they reach around half way trough the screen, they start to fade in. This will essentially force reaction time and memorizing.
This will be very easy on lower approach rates. But on lets say AR 8 and up, it wont be so easy anymore.
It might look like a direct FL clone, but its not. As FL plays out with clean memorizing.

How will it affect gameplay?
Well it is self-explanatory in how it will affect gameplay. But also, having it only fade is not all the ideas i got in mind. Here is a little setup i made for how it will affect the difficulty per map.

AR/OD: Does not increase!
HP: Should reduce it by 1 or 2. So if you apply it on a HP8 map, it will be either HP6 or HP7. To make it easier too pass.
CS: I dont think it should affect the CS, but, maybe reduce the CS by 0,5. As the notes is just a little bit bigger?
Score Multiplier: So if we take the x1.0 score multiplier (aka HR/FL multiplier). Then start to apply the changes in difficulty i have applied above. The HP decrease will remove aroun x0,4, and the CS decrease will remove around x0,1. So i personally can see a x0,5 multiplier (HD/DT multipluier). Or maybe have like x0,7? Idk.

Combining with mods
So lets say that this gets added. How would it be when combining with mods? Here are some ideas!
EZ: Will simply apply the EZ changes + a fade-in effect.
HT: Will apply the Fade-In changes + HT changes.
NF: Just Fade-In changes, as it would nomod.
HR: Apply the HR changes, and reducing the CS with 0,5 from what HR changes it too. Same with the HP.
HD: I dont believe they should be possible to combine, but if it does, MEMORIZE ME!
DT: Speeds up the song just as DT does, and applies the Fade-In changes.
FL: FL with Fade-In = FL. Should not be able to combine them!
