I've been thinking about this for a little time and I realized there is little disadvantage for some players. Some of might have heard about dominant eye. Basically, one of your eyes is just, let's say 'more important' because it works better when focusing on action, other eye is somewhat rendering the 'background'. If you know this, you probably say: "Man that's not a shooter game, it's not even related." Well, in shooter games, you should carry the weapon on side that is NOT on your dominant eye side, because then the 'worse' eye will see characters, and the dominant eye will see them either, but partially covered with weapon.
Notes go from right to left side, that means players with left dominant eye are in an advantage, they see what they actually have to click with the dominant eye, so they react to it better and the worse eye will check what is coming, thus the left eye will know what to expect next just approximately, but will read it properly when it comes - that's the time he needs it, he does not need to know what's coming next with his dominant eye because it decreases focus from what he should actually play. For this reason I would welcome to see option to flip taiko so you see notes going from left to right. This is often problem of those who open taiko and are like: "What is going on, I cannot even notice the notes, but I already have to click them" - You will always learn faster if you use the 'better' eye for important parts of game.
Should be clear and obvious enough, if not, comment or ask me in-game/through forum PM
