Hi there. From the modding queue: t/336458/start=120

Note that whatever I say is my own opinion so you do not have to follow everything I say. Changes are separated into boxes.

General
1) Metadata:
Artist: t+pazolite ft. RIZNA
Title: 東方ヴォーカルアレンジ (The romanized title will be Interlude - Teatime), but I do not know whether the T in teatime is capitalized, because some videos have it capitalized whereas the ranked beatmap has the T in small letters.
Tags: Remove the tags theonlyleon and T+Pazolite since when you search for the song, they include the keywords already, so you do not need to add tags.
Instead add these tags (I am using this link for reference): Honey I scream, C.H.S, C78, 2010, Touhou

2) Turn off widescreen support (found in design of the song setup), since you do not have a storyboard; only enable when you have a storyboard. Moreover disable letterbox and disable countdown.

3) I believe that the spinner ends at 00:58:320. Here you add a green timing point and make the volume 5%.
Moreover, once the spinner starts, the music fades. Therefore you should make the volume of the spinner fade out as well. Try this:
00:50:520 70% volume
00:51:720 60% volume
00:52:920 50% volume
00:54:120 40% volume
00:55:320 30% volume
00:56:520 20% volume
00:57:120 15% volume
00:57:720 10% volume

4) Make the hitsound volume in general around 70%.

5) Try adding some custom combo colours.

6) To match ranking criteria, the background must either be 1024*600 or 1366*768 pixels. Try and find a .png file of it online, since png files scale better with size (if you try and enlarge jpeg a lot, the quality drops drastically).

Easy
This is an easy difficulty, but some parts are more difficult than others and the inconsistencies can make the map not play that well.

1) Difficulty Settings: Some settings are a bit difficult but some are a bit easy. Try these settings:
Circle Size: 2
HP Drain: 2
Approach Rate: 3
Overall Difficulty: 1-2

2) Try a distance snap of 1.3 because having a constant distance between notes mean that the map looks a lot better.

3) 00:04:920 Unfortunately, according to today's standards of mapping, easy and normal difficulties do not permit the use of repeating sliders with more than 1 repeat. The problem is that with today's maps, players may let go of the slider too early and break. Other instances occur at 00:14:520, 00:19:020, 00:24:120, 00:33:420 and 00:38:220

Some solutions you can try ( In addition try and make some parts simpler) Perhaps near the end you can make it a little bit more difficult:
00:04:920 00:14:520
4) 00:08:520 Do not stack notes on easy difficulties. Try this: Other instances where it occurs: 00:13:320, 00:35:370

5) 00:49:320 Add a slider that ends at 00:49:920

Normal
1) Difficulty settings are a bit high. Reduce overall difficulty to either 4 or 5.

2) 00:06:120 and 00:06:720, add 2 sliders which end at 00:06:420 and 00:07:020 respectively. As it is a normal, you can add this kind of rhythm and it sound good.
Other instances where it occurs: 00:25:320 and 00:25:920, 00:44:520 and 00:45:120

3) 00:08:220 and 00:09:420 make the sliders symmetrical, I would copy the latter slider’s shape because that looks better. Symmetry makes the map a lot nicer.

4) This pattern may be considered too hard for the map but at 00:10:020, add a repeating slider that ends at 00:10:620, then add a note at 00:10:920 and finally add a repeating slider that starts at 00:11:220 and ends at 00:11:820. You can vary it if you think that this rhythm feels bland.

Final Thoughts: You are on the right track. There are some things you need to improve on, but overall it is nice.

"It seems people only want completely textbook/orthodox maps" If I can tell you anything, it is to get the rhythm right (function first) and then put your spin on the design (form second). Try some crazy slider shapes that still meet the ranking criteria; look at this map for inspiration: https://osu.ppy.sh/b/141589

Good luck with your beatmap. Contact me via forum pm if you need anything else/or my mod was not clear enough.
Rizen
We had a nice chat
21:16 [ Rizen ]: maybe make the offset to both diffs
21:16 [ Rizen ]: 2520
21:16 TheOnlyLeon: ?? is it wrong?
21:17 [ Rizen ]: as that is where the large white tick should be
21:17 [ Rizen ]: the timing is correct
21:17 [ Rizen ]: it's just out of phase
21:17 TheOnlyLeon: oh ok
21:17 [ Rizen ]: like, you know how in music classes, they go
21:17 [ Rizen ]: ONE two three four ONE two three four
21:17 TheOnlyLeon: yea, ive been playing piano for 12 years, i get basic theory
21:17 [ Rizen ]: well, yours is going one two THREE four one two THREE four
21:17 [ Rizen ]: kk
21:18 [ Rizen ]: modding the normal atm
21:18 *[ Rizen ] is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/769205 t+pazolite - Interlude - Teatime [Normal]]
21:19 TheOnlyLeon: actually, taht offset is nicer now that i try it, thx
21:20 TheOnlyLeon: i have the norm open, im here so might as well irc
21:20 [ Rizen ]: kk
21:20 [ Rizen ]: 00:14:220 (4,5,6) -
21:21 [ Rizen ]: the emphasis on the (bells?) is wrong
21:21 [ Rizen ]: because it lands on the slider end
21:21 [ Rizen ]: try this rhythm:
21:22 [ Rizen ]: http://puu.sh/jMzvo/eaf902b9e3.png
21:22 [ Rizen ]: starting at 00:14:220 (4) -
21:23 [ Rizen ]: 00:19:020 (2,3,4) - another example of incorrect emphasis, maybe try this rhythm starting at 00:19:020
21:23 [ Rizen ]: http://puu.sh/jMzyI/43dd52652a.png
21:23 TheOnlyLeon: ok, I changed that, moved the positioning slightly
21:24 [ Rizen ]: NC should be made every 1 or 2 measures for a normal
21:25 [ Rizen ]: in this case, 2 measures
21:25 [ Rizen ]: so remove NC at 00:16:170 (1) -
21:25 TheOnlyLeon: i assume by measures you're talking about big whites right?
21:25 [ Rizen ]: and add NC to 00:16:920 (3) -
21:25 [ Rizen ]: yeah
21:25 [ Rizen ]: 00:18:570 (1) - remove NC
21:25 [ Rizen ]: I think you get the idea
21:26 [ Rizen ]: are you mapping with grid on or off?
21:26 TheOnlyLeon: grid on
21:27 TheOnlyLeon: view levle 3
21:27 [ Rizen ]: I suggest turning it off and realigning the spacing of everything
21:27 [ Rizen ]: because
21:27 [ Rizen ]: for example here: 00:27:420 (2) -
21:27 [ Rizen ]: the spacing is incorrect, as shown at the upper right corner
21:27 [ Rizen ]: even though it's by a few millimetres, it's still uneven
21:28 TheOnlyLeon: wait, how can you tell that?
21:28 TheOnlyLeon: oh
21:28 TheOnlyLeon: nvm
21:28 TheOnlyLeon: i see how
21:28 [ Rizen ]: right now, it ranges from 1.45-1.55
21:28 [ Rizen ]: should be down to about 1.48-1.52 at most
21:29 TheOnlyLeon: mine says it's 1.49 to 1.45
21:29 TheOnlyLeon: but ok
21:29 [ Rizen ]: i meant throughout the entire diff :s
21:29 TheOnlyLeon: yea ok
21:29 [ Rizen ]: right now, the diff has a lot of empty space
21:29 TheOnlyLeon: ill get it down, gimme a minute
21:29 [ Rizen ]: kk
21:30 [ Rizen ]: tell me when you're ready
21:32 TheOnlyLeon: ok finished
21:32 TheOnlyLeon: all DS is almost exactly 1.5x
21:32 TheOnlyLeon: except for after the breaks
21:32 [ Rizen ]: yeah, that should be fine
21:32 [ Rizen ]: about the breaks
21:33 [ Rizen ]: you can probably fill some in
21:33 [ Rizen ]: for example
21:33 [ Rizen ]: 00:28:620 (1) -
21:33 [ Rizen ]: you can probably emphasize the holding of the note at 00:28:920
21:33 [ Rizen ]: 00:28:920 -
21:33 [ Rizen ]: by doing
21:33 [ Rizen ]: circle at 00:28:620 (2) -
21:34 [ Rizen ]: and slider at 00:28:920 (3) -
21:34 TheOnlyLeon: OK I see what you're getting at.
21:34 [ Rizen ]: ending at 00:30:120 -
21:34 TheOnlyLeon: that's exactly where i put the end anyways
21:34 TheOnlyLeon: so should i be looking for more of those?
21:35 [ Rizen ]: 00:33:720 (2,3,4) - nice work, emphasized correctly
21:35 [ Rizen ]: kinda
21:35 [ Rizen ]: with the breaks
21:35 [ Rizen ]: it's kinda awkward
21:35 TheOnlyLeon: hmm, I just felt the background rhythm was too fast for an easy/normal diff
21:36 [ Rizen ]: you don't have to map every single sound
21:36 [ Rizen ]: for easy/normal
21:36 [ Rizen ]: just the most obvious ones
21:36 TheOnlyLeon: yea, taht's why i left so many breaks
21:36 [ Rizen ]: usually at the end of each uh.... section(?)
21:37 [ Rizen ]: the note is sustained
21:37 [ Rizen ]: you can fill breaks with a slider which emphasises the holding of the note
21:37 [ Rizen ]: not the background rhythm
21:37 TheOnlyLeon: ok, ill try making that happen
21:38 [ Rizen ]: 00:31:320 (1) - imo, that's kindas ugly
21:38 [ Rizen ]: but should be fine
21:39 TheOnlyLeon: uhh, honestly shaping sliders is my weakest point so im not surprised they arent very pretty
21:39 TheOnlyLeon: last time i tried mapping long sliders the map was aesthetically awful
21:40 [ Rizen ]: hm
21:40 [ Rizen ]: regarding the large white tick, usually there should be something clickable ther
21:40 [ Rizen ]: there*
21:40 [ Rizen ]: eg. slider head or circle
21:40 [ Rizen ]: applies to all diffs
21:41 [ Rizen ]: ok, moving on to the easy
21:41 [ Rizen ]: tell me when you're ready
21:41 TheOnlyLeon: one sec, re hitsounding for the changed notes
21:41 [ Rizen ]: kk
21:42 TheOnlyLeon: ok, finished
21:42 [ Rizen ]: kk
21:42 *[ Rizen ] is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/769204 t+pazolite - Interlude - Teatime [Easy]]
21:42 TheOnlyLeon: the diffs are quite similar
21:43 [ Rizen ]: 00:03:720 (2) - blanket around the tail of slider 1
21:43 [ Rizen ]: so move the third point lower by a little bit
21:44 TheOnlyLeon: I shifted it slightly, I beleive I was trying to blanket it already but screwed up
21:45 TheOnlyLeon: I think I've got it now
21:45 [ Rizen ]: uhhh, gimme 3 mins
21:45 [ Rizen ]: i need to reupload a beatmap
21:45 TheOnlyLeon: kk
21:49 [ Rizen ]: kk
21:50 *[ Rizen ] is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/769204 t+pazolite - Interlude - Teatime [Easy]]
21:50 [ Rizen ]: yeah, the reuploading didn't work
21:50 [ Rizen ]: zzz
21:50 [ Rizen ]: one thing that i'm worried about this diff is that
21:50 [ Rizen ]: you have sliders which repeat twice
21:50 [ Rizen ]: 00:04:920 (3) - is an example
21:50 TheOnlyLeon: is that a problem on easy?
21:50 [ Rizen ]: after a slider like 00:03:720 (2) - , players would expect the slider to repeat that many times: once
21:51 [ Rizen ]: however, that one should be fine 00:04:920 (3) -
21:51 [ Rizen ]: but one like 00:19:020 (2) - could be misleading
21:51 TheOnlyLeon: I generally think this map is slow enough that it shouldn't be a problem but i guess in terms of easy's it can be more strict?
21:52 TheOnlyLeon: maybe on that one i scrap the next circle and make it repeat 3 times?
21:52 [ Rizen ]: I'm not too sure about those repeat sliders, but it's just my own opinion
21:52 TheOnlyLeon: ok, I think that's something I'll wait for a second opinion on
21:52 [ Rizen ]: yeah, that's a good idea
21:53 TheOnlyLeon: say, am I allowed to ahve a map without Kiai time?
21:53 TheOnlyLeon: cause I mean, I can't imagine any point in this map that it fits
21:53 [ Rizen ]: yeah, should be fine
21:54 [ Rizen ]: 00:27:420 (2,3,4) - you can probably make this symmetrical
21:54 [ Rizen ]: i.e.
21:54 [ Rizen ]: move 00:27:420 (2) - to x:386 y:202
21:54 [ Rizen ]: move 00:28:170 (3) - to x:257 y:286
21:55 [ Rizen ]: then
21:55 [ Rizen ]: ctrl+c and ctrl+v 00:27:420 (2) - to the second slider's position
21:55 [ Rizen ]: then ctrl+h
21:55 [ Rizen ]: and ctrl+g
21:56 [ Rizen ]: looks neater
21:56 TheOnlyLeon: ok, I fixed it
21:57 [ Rizen ]: yeah, so make the sliders and circles a bit neater
21:57 [ Rizen ]: you can do that by
21:57 [ Rizen ]: blanketing sliders around circles when appropriate
21:57 [ Rizen ]: using symmetry (use grid as a guide)
21:58 [ Rizen ]: yeah
RVMathew
Tip: If you want to be anal and have every note perfectly snapped, ie have distance snap at exactly 1.4x or such, disable grid snapping.

Not sure there is one, I was searching for this for a while, Would you happen to know anyone that can re-size it cleanly?

I'm kind of shocked that you actually looked at my profile status, I posted that cause I was salty about my last map getting beaten up on for using snap jumps.
Some of what you posted was totally new to me so Thanks for being so thorough! :)

Greetings from my queue.

[General]
This map uses a lot of hitsound Finish, and i feel like there should'nt be any unless you put them at the end. Some notes have this finish sound and it overpowers the song and they are way too loud. So i feel like any note with that should be removed or toned down, way down.

[Easy]
  1. 00:07:320 (1) - i would suggest to put this note maybe on the far side of the right instead so the patern flows better and it's not really stacked to the previous slider.
  2. 00:08:220 (2) - this isn't properly distanced, it should be slightly closer to the previous note.
  3. 00:13:020 (2) - note is too far, make sure everything is properly snapped using distance snap.
  4. 00:14:520 (4) - just my opinion, but i feel like this slider should be either straight, or have more of a curve. this slider just looks awkward.
  5. 00:27:420 (2) - note too far.
  6. 00:41:820 (2) - ^
[Normal]
Whoa, tone down those hitsounds ;w; they overpower the song way too much.
  1. 00:26:520 (1,2,1,1) - make this 1 whole combo instead.
  2. 00:31:320 (1) - this slider could have a way smoother curve.
  3. 00:40:920 (1) - ^
  4. 00:45:720 (1,2,3) - patern is slightly confusing and overlapping.
Overall, nice map! Look over the sounds and all but other than that i really enjoyed this map.

Good luck!

Personally I quite like the hitsound, as for volume I originally had it at 30% but my previous mod told me to bolster it to 70, Will look for second opinions NVM, Had a broken timing point and volume was resetting to max, didn't realize since I had changed the offset earlier. Fixed.

Changed, and Shifted combo 4 slider to stack under
  4. 00:14:520 (4) - just my opinion, but i feel like this slider should be either straight, or have more of a curve. this slider just looks awkward.

For now Reserved, Look for second opinions
  5. 00:27:420 (2) - note too far.

Uhh, if you're talking about combo 2 then the snapping is uniform, if not then the time stamp is wrong and idk what you mean
  6. 00:41:820 (2) - ^
[Normal]
Whoa, tone down those hitsounds ;w; they overpower the song way too much.
  1. 00:26:520 (1,2,1,1) - make this 1 whole combo instead.

Personally I liked that pattern, but I guess it is technically wrong, so I'll change it
  2. 00:31:320 (1) - this slider could have a way smoother curve.
  3. 00:40:920 (1) - ^

    Reserved, Shape is intended
  4. 00:45:720 (1,2,3) - patern is slightly confusing and overlapping.
Overall, nice map! Look over the sounds and all but other than that i really enjoyed this map.

Good luck!
Again thanks for the mod, Every little bit helps :)

Well, because it doesn't sound right.
It's like trying to eat barbecue-flavored chips with a maple syrup.

Easy

About volumes, as I said above.

Timings
00:01:770 - Not needed, so I suggest you to remove this.

Notes
00:14:520 (4) - This slider looks strange.
00:07:320 (1,2) - Normally in Easy diffs, the notes aren't that far, even using the normal distance snap for this looks strange, unless if you set the distance snap to very low.
00:12:120 (1,2) - Too far, same as above.
00:28:620 (4) - Ctrl+G?
00:17:820 (3,1,2) - Distance like this doesn't look right.
00:32:970 (3,4) - Make "4" blanket the "3" might look better in my opinion.

Normal

About volumes, as I said above.

Timings
00:01:770 - Not needed, so I suggest you to remove this.

Notes
00:11:220 (3,1) - "3" doesn't blanket the note "1" properly, please fix this.
00:27:720 (3,4,1) - Patterns like this feels too hard for "Normal" players.
00:40:920 (1) - This slider doesn't look right.
00:26:520 (1) - Move the 3rd point nearer to the center, to make a perfect wave slider.

Calm and gentle song, but the hitsounds and volume make it sounds weird.
I feel this song isn't good for mapping. ._.

Oh well, good luck on getting ranked. :)

And also, removing all claps/finish hitsounds from all diff should be good since this song is very calm.

Moved the entire 2,3,4 Section closer.

00:12:120 (1,2) - Too far, same as above.

Changed but only slightly

00:28:620 (4) - Ctrl+G?

Makes the DS a little off but it looks nicer so sure

I suggest moving offset to 4 beats before, just look better for me. Optional to do that.
[Easy]

00:02:520 - suggested this pattern, as slider 1 is a little bit weird.
00:06:120 - maybe add a slider here? just for emphasis 00:07:320 (1) -
00:09:720 (4) - maybe map this 4 beats? for emphasis 00:12:120 (1) -
00:15:120 - this beat better not skip it, reverse slider then
00:22:620 (2,3) - avoid overlap, and this pattern for new-player is a little bit.
00:25:320 - 00:44:520 - slider? for same reason
00:33:420 (4) - blanket

[Normal]
00:06:720 (2) - blanket
00:11:220 (3) - ds
00:12:120 (1) - blanket
00:33:720 (2) - blanket 00:32:520 (1) - I think better
00:40:920 (1) - this slider is quite short, therefore I don't suggest using 2 red bonds.
00:42:570 (3,4) - hard to new players also
00:45:120 (2,1) - poor look...
00:45:720 (1) - why change ds from this slider. You should use constant ds for Easy and Normal

btw, I am not familar with modding low bpm instru. Is it an instru? Anyway, sorry about that.

Hello! As you requested M4M.

[General]
  1. I'm not sure about Combo Colour 4, there's just a small part of the background using this colour
  2. Remove from tags: interlude teatime i because the first two are on the song title already and i is too short to be there
  3. There's a spam of finish all over the song, feels very awkward
  4. DS (Distance Snap) is inconsistent over your beatmap, this issue is unreankeable, Easy and Normal difficulties MUST have fixed DS
  5. BPM: 100
[Normal]
  1. 00:06:120 (1,2) - Try a blanket here, will look much better
  2. 00:02:520 (1,2,3) - Thi section is kind slow and sudden you make it very fast with 1/2 sliders and circles, I suggest making the other part slower, or making this faster
  3. 00:25:920 (2) - Move this up a beat to avoid an overlap
  4. 00:40:920 (1) - Control H to improve the flow
  5. 00:46:620 (2,3) - Improve this blanket
[Easy]
  1. 00:02:520 (1,2) - This blanket is overlapped, fix it by moving 00:02:520 (1) - to x:300 y:296
  2. 00:32:970 (3,4) - This blanket shape is kinda broken
There isn't too much I can say because the DS overall is very bad, it's completely random over the map and it can't be this way, this is unrankeable. I can't really judge all the map now, but the biggest issue for now is this one, otherwize this map is good, despiting the spam of finishes..

Yea I was considering changing the colours altogether since they weren't really done properly to begin with, will change.
  2. Remove from tags: interlude teatime i because the first two are on the song title already and i is too short to be there

The two in the title ok, i was suggested by a previous mod but I guess I can remove it
  3. There's a spam of finish all over the song, feels very awkward

Frankly I think the soft finish HS is fitting, Will change if it becomes necessaryNVM, After replaying it it definatelyl is bothersome, Changed most of them out.
  4. DS (Distance Snap) is inconsistent over your beatmap, this issue is unreankeable, Easy and Normal difficulties MUST have fixed DS

IDK what you mean, I went back over the map and it was almost entirely dead on DS, the only parts where it broke were when the map came back from a long pause, this applies to both diffs.
  5. BPM: 100

Not entirely sure what you mean, if you mean what I think you mean the sliders were suggested in a previous mod. Reserved

Had to play around with it for a bit, I think it should be alright now.

Ok, thanks for getting back to me, Not sure what you were seeing in the DS but I did revise it all over again just to be safe.

Let me explain better the DS part I mentioned

Normal

00:05:820 (6) - You will see on the top right hand corner:

spacing has to remain consistent during an easy difficulty, so patterns like this (00:12:120 (1,2,3) are not allowed. another example is 00:16:170 (1,2,3). keep the spacing consistent throughout the entire map.
00:22:620 (2) - move this a bit to the left so the blanket is perfect
[Normal]
00:14:520 (5) - maybe make this downbeat a NC. i think the combo right now is very long, and should be reduced with this NC.
00:22:920 (3) - maybe slider angled like this instead. i think that this helps the flow better for the map (and specifically a normal diff)

00:27:420 (2) - ctrl + g. i think this provides better flow.
00:34:320 (3) - i think this should be angled either straight down or toward the next slider. it feels like making the cursor go the opposite direction breaks flow a bit.
00:42:570 (3) - move sliderstart to (256|296) for a better blanket.
00:44:520 (1) - move to around (48|88) for a better blanket. (if you do this, move the next notes so that the spacing is consistent as well.

Changed first instance, However I don't want to shrink this too much or the timing difference between the notes will be hard to read.

Ok, so I'll try this. Not sure how much useful feedback I can actually provide though.

Easy
00:07:320 (1,2) - Like Mofu said, I don't think DS change is allowed in an easy difficulty if you want to get this ranked. Same applies for 00:12:120 (1,2), 00:26:520 (1,2) and 00:40:920 (1,2).

00:21:720 (1,2,3) - Not sure if this is intentional, but the DS goes from 1.22 to 1.36, if you just DS snap (2) with 1.3 it comes out at 1.26 and 1.36 which would be better for consistency, it might even be a ranking issue if you have this stay at 1.22

00:27:420 (2,3,4) - I think this would flow better if you would move (3) down a bit (~x:288;y:312), and then adjust (4) to be consistent with DS.

00:50:520 (1) - I personally think this spinner is too long and becomes somewhat tiring, it's up to you though. However you should definitely make the hitsound at the end soft, if you use normal it sounds unnatural even at 5% volume since the song is so quiet.

Normal
00:24:720 (6) - I think you forgot to remove a finish here

00:50:520 (1) - Same thing about the spinner as in the Easy

EDIT: Formatting.

Reserved, The DS is smaller than normal here because of the huge gap in time, the distance to the following pattern is even reduced already because of this issue, I'm not putting it next to the following pattern because reading will become incredibly difficult

Shit, I shuffled those around for blanketing earlier and didn't realize I broke the DS, Thx

00:27:420 (2,3,4) - I think this would flow better if you would move (3) down a bit (~x:288;y:312), and then adjust (4) to be consistent with DS.

Reserved, Right now the Pattern is symmetrical which was the intention

Reserved, the Spinner ends when the music does, it's long but I don't think it's unreasonable

Yes I did, Thanks for catching that

00:50:520 (1) - Same thing about the spinner as in the Easy

Reserved for same reason

EDIT: Formatting.
Well I didn't make most of the changes but you did catch a couple mistakes I made in transitions which helped me clean up a bit. Appreciate the mod :)
A Mystery
Hi there

General

  1. Switch combo 2 and 3, 1 and 2 look waaay too much like the same color. I also recommend you to make the purple color a little closer to red, just to make a better difference between blue and purple
  2. Not necessary but if you can find a 192 kbps version of the mp3 it would be more appreciated, but if the source only has 128 then it's fine.
Normal

  1. Usually I'm not someone that complains about this, but this diff is blanket-heavy. Try to improve at least some of them, as they looks sloppy. If you would fix that, this map would literally look a lot more professional. (things like 00:10:920 (3,4) - , 00:32:520 (1,2) -
  2. Please keep comboing a little consistent. Do something like, 1 measure comboing. It feels random at the moment.
00:04:920 (4) - NC here and not 00:06:120 (1) - here, I don't see a reason to do if differently on these spots.
00:08:220 (2) - This is not really nice. Why? There is a chord change on the slider end. Now usually a slider-end is used for passive sounds, those that aren't strong, and don't need to be emphasized. In this case you map it in a way that the slider-head of this seems more important than slider slider-end. But that's not the case. A solution would be 2 circles, or making 00:07:320 (1) - a slider. You do this more often like 00:13:020 (2) - and patterns like these 00:02:520 (1,2) - are way better.
00:17:520 (2) - Add a note here? It just (coincidentally) matches the voice and the xylophone (or whatever instrument) in the background
00:24:120 (4) - Also here a NC
00:25:320 (1) - This slider looks pretty bad (at least to me) because it's so small, and making a wave slider out of it doesn't really work out.
00:28:920 (2) - Rotate this by like, 90° clockwise, and put it on the same spot. It will make a high distance between the slider-end and the next slider, which is more appropriate unless you want to stack both slider-end and slider-head of the next slider, that is also appropriate. But currently it's kinda weird there's like, this one slider that has a bad flow from the previous circle.
00:35:820 (1) - Same thing here as the previous suggestion. The chord changes on the slider-return, and one that spot is also the highest pitched note. A slider-return is not a nice way to emphasize this.
00:35:820 (1) - Whistle on slider-return
00:46:920 (3) - Please let this slider end on the blue tick

Easy

  1. Same about blankets
00:13:320 (3) - Make this look a little but better like this (not the best example but you get the point)
00:16:620 (2) - Same as 00:35:820 (1) - in the normal
00:19:020 (2) - Woah don't do this. At least do something like this if you want to keep the rhythm simple (or do the same thing as what you did with the previous patterns like 00:04:920 (3) - , that's even better for consistency). The chord change and downbeat is important here, you can't just ignore it.
00:27:420 (2,3,4) - As repetitive as it might seem, just do the same as 00:08:220 (2,3,4) - . It just makes a lot more sense because the stronger ticks are on the slider-heads and circles
00:33:420 (4) - Same as 00:19:020 (2) - . Don't just ignore it, map it this way for example
00:35:820 (1) - Same as 00:16:620 (2) -
00:38:220 (4) - zzz same as 00:19:020 (2) -
00:41:820 (2,3,4) - You know what I'm going to say
00:46:620 (2,3,4) - And here as well

It lacks some quality, but you can get it. This map is easily moddable so if you do some effort you can get it ranked. Just remember what I said in the first timestamp suggestion of the normal.
Good luck!

Wow thanks, By far the most professional Mod I've gotten so far. I see why you want to apply now. I didn't add any comment because I changed just about everything in this mod (except the mp3 cause I'm pretty sure a 192 mp3 doesn't exist :/).I really appreciate the thorough mod.

I found one in 320 kbps, I reencoded it to 192. Not sure if it's actually better quality or just the 128 kbps source reencoded to 320. If you want to use it you'll need to change the metadata though (it has very different metadata for some reason), and cut some silence off at the beginning. DL

Meta data doesn't change when an mp3 file has a different name?, use an official source (not sure if you meant this)
Here's the mp3 with a smaller silence at the start (if you remove it completely you can get a buggy minus offset in osu, even though the mp3 starts where it should. I made it a little louder as well (it wasn't at the usual volume), and I removed the unnecessary silence at the end. The offset is 289, don't forget to move every inherited point as well as every object. Just name the mp3 to whatever the current mp3 is called.

I phrased that a little unclear. I just meant that the metadata of the mp3 I provided will have to be changed to the correct one (or does it? Maps can have independent metadata so it shouldn't matter, completely forgot that. I personally would do it just for consistencies sake though).

So this is probably going to be a general thing, but uhhh, don't put whistles on every single beat. It's hard to really define WHEN you should put them, since this is a music box esque thing, but uhhh. . . maybe try having them on every large white tick? Or the 1st and 3rd beat of every measure?? Just don't overkill it like its turning into now
00:16:339 (4,5) - aaaa. This in particular is bothersome because there's momentum built up from doing the "fast" (relatively) repeat slider, and then I'm awkwardly waiting for a blue ticked note. People have issues in general with spaced out 3/4 patterns like this, but I don't mind unless it's something where I have to forcibly stop my momentum to wait for it.
00:25:189 (2) - Would be nice if it was a note and then a 3/4 slider to follow the accenting of the melody more but meh
00:43:489 (1) - Move this so that it's creating a. . . uhh. . . this thing http://puu.sh/jRlc5/b4a0add598.jpg . Nice pretty parallel sliders.
00:45:889 (1) - If you're making a pretty end-map slider, make it something much more interesting. Having a curve just looks like you just got lazy and wanted to stop mapping
00:48:289 (1) - I've never been a fan of doing the whole "Put a spinner on the fadeout" thing, but uhhh, it seems kind of long regardless, especially for a normal.

Easy:
Same thing about hitsounds applies to easy
00:11:089 (3) - If you want to have shapes, then have shapes, but make them defined. If you have very slight shapes like this, it just looks messy and doesn't fully allow people to experience the effect you want to go for
00:16:339 (1) - Make this go into the curve of (3), rather than being slightly above it.
00:21:139 (3) - pls no overlap
00:30:739 (3) - This is a big no no for the easiest diff. The slider is fine, because the blue tick is on the repeat (and if you put a slider starting on a blue tick, a slider has much more leniancy than a note), but even after establishing the melodic pattern, it's still a little bit awkward for easy level players to play on their own. For the lowest diff, it's a bit too much

It's hard judging these low BPM things because the easy seems a little too complex, since it's following a lot of things similarly to the normal and has a lot of red tick action.

Map is a good start, but definitely those hitsounds (and it's fucking ironic that I'm saying this because I literally just said something like this to you a few hours ago in modhelp not even remembering that you were in my queue) could use some simplification. It's the issue with these quiet songs that seem to be the trend nowadays, they're so hard to traditionally hitsound.

Yay.

Hi, from your M4M request

[General]
A tip to getting perfect blankets easily... you can compare the approach circle of the note to the side of the slider like this http://puu.sh/jTFKl/dabee7cd72.jpg. You can check by using ctrl+g on the slider and see if the next distance is the same. So please check over all the blankets, I won't be pointing them out lol

[Normal]
  1. 00:03:889 (4,5) - to make it a little neater maybe you can use a copy and rotated version of 4 as the shape for 5 or vice versa. http://puu.sh/jTEaV/6a72c20cbe.jpg
  2. 00:06:289 (3,4,5) - probably should not use 3/4 timing in a normal diff. I would recommend a reverse slider but thats whats already in the easy.. so idk. maybe like this http://puu.sh/jTEqk/c2af7653ca.jpg or some other slider combination so they dont have to time it twice (remember circles actually need accuracy so sliders are a good idea for advanced timing)
  3. 00:11:089 (3,4,5) - same as 00:06:289
  4. 00:13:489 (3,4,5) - ^
  5. 00:16:339 (4,5) - plz just make it a slider
  6. 00:25:489 (3,4) - this is more friendly to time
  7. 00:33:589 (1,2) - ds? could have been intentional because it doesnt play all that poorly but i should point it out
  8. 00:39:589 (2) - maybe rotate this more so it looks better coming off of 1? http://puu.sh/jTFn6/a6d8d5782a.jpg
  9. 00:48:289 (1) - well people are spinning furiously but nothing is really happening in the song. Maybe just put a circle there and call it a day lol
[Easy]
I don't agree with the use of 3/4 on easy. DS is generally not enough to distinguish between 1/2 and 3/4, especially for beginners who can barely even hear said 1/4 or 3/4 rhythms.
  1. 00:05:089 (1,2) - 00:09:889 (1,2) - hmm these two are not on DS but later on like 00:24:289 (1,2) - it is? Its fine not to use ds for these since there is a long time between them but maybe they should have the same spacing throughout
  2. 00:16:339 (1) - remove NC here
  3. 00:19:489 (1,2,3) - this will be extremely confusing. Generally for sliders like 2 with the next note on the other side the player will most likely not follow them to the end, so even though the DS is fine people will probably still mistime 3. If youre going to keep the 3/4s please change this
  4. 00:29:989 (2,3,4,5) - flow and reading very hard here. Please change this too if you are going to keep the 3/4
  5. same thing as normal with the spinner
You don't need to have the perfect sound on easy, its fine (and usually a good idea) to sacrifice some of that for playability.
Yeah thats all from me, good luck :)

Hello from my M4M
[General]
  1. Add a silent sliderslide sound to the map. I tried this out with various skins and found that it sounded best without any sliderslide sound.
  2. Consider changing the combo colour of 3 to R:146 G:170 B:254. Before 3 looked too similar to 1. Even if this is intentional I think the diversity is nice. Otherwise for the future (in case you didn't know) you can manually change the combo colour you're using by clicking the little white tick beside the new combo button, instead of creating a similar combo colour.
[Easy]
  1. Double check your Aimod for DS errors. They came up at 00:06:139 and 00:07:339 for me.
  2. 00:05:089 (1,2) - The distance between these two hit circles is considerably smaller when compared to other instances with an identical rhythm. Ex.00:09:889 (1,2) & 00:24:289 (1,2)
  3. 00:30:289 (3) - Missing whistle hit sound
  4. 00:47:089 (1) - This is just personal taste but I like the start of this slider better without the whistle here. Try it out and see how you like it.
[Normal]
  1. 00:23:689 (6) - Add hit sound to mimic 00:04:489 (5)
  2. 00:42:889 (5) - ^
  3. 00:26:689 (1) - I can see the pattern you're following here, but I don't think it's a good idea to end a phrase with the sound you're accenting the strong beats on. I think it sounds fine without it and doesn't disrupt the continuity of your pattern. So consider removing the hit sound here. The exception to this would be if it ends on beat 1 or the large white ticks.
Good job with this map, I hope this helped! Please respond to my mod giving me feedback on my suggestions. This will help me become a better mod in the future. I look forward to seeing your comments on my map :)

Not in right now, I don't know how to do it so I'm working on it now, but it should be added in another upload later tonight.

Reserved as this was intentional, However thanks for pointing out that colour trick, Was unaware.

Reserved, this phrase is a single note, and there is a strong tick at the end, Also it falls on beat 3 which is also a standard strong beat. I don't see any need to remove it.

  1. consider adding whistles at 00:13:939 -and/or 00:14:389 - , 00:33:139 - and/or 00:33:589 - since these are pretty strong sounds in the music and the whistles sound nice there imo

Easy
  1. 00:11:089 (3) - consider rotating this ~25 degrees clockwise so the angle between this and the next repeat slider isn't so sharp. I think it may feel more natural to play this way
  2. 00:44:689 (3,4) - I suggest using this rhythm instead:
This way you have a clickable object on the strong downbeat which feels nicer to play imo

Normal
  1. 00:01:489 (3) - you can make this look nicer by moving the middle point up once while on grid snap, this will make the slider less curved and blanket the hitcircle more accurately
  2. 00:27:889 - imo this whistle sounds a bit out of place as there isn't a similar, distinct sound in the music to match this. I suggest removing it unless there's a good reason to have it there

Nice map, I'd have someone double-check the 3/4 gaps in easy to see if they're okay or not (00:12:289 (4,5) - , 00:15:589 (2,3) - , 00:20:389 (2,3) -, etc)

Have fun mapping!

Took a look at them, Added in the Normal but not the Easy as I feel the hits just aren't strong in general on easy with the note placement.

Easy
  1. 00:11:089 (3) - consider rotating this ~25 degrees clockwise so the angle between this and the next repeat slider isn't so sharp. I think it may feel more natural to play this way

Ok, I moved the tail upwards until it was almost straight up but not quite, hope this is what you meant.
  2. 00:44:689 (3,4) - I suggest using this rhythm instead:
This way you have a clickable object on the strong downbeat which feels nicer to play imo

OK, I can do this easily anyways since the position of the final note isn't terribly important.

Normal
  1. 00:01:489 (3) - you can make this look nicer by moving the middle point up once while on grid snap, this will make the slider less curved and blanket the hitcircle more accurately

Huh, an accurate description of how to fix a blanket, Thanks for that.
  2. 00:27:889 - imo this whistle sounds a bit out of place as there isn't a similar, distinct sound in the music to match this. I suggest removing it unless there's a good reason to have it there

Originally this was here to keep the hitsound timings consistent but after listening to the segment on repeat for a couple minutes I'd ahve to agree with you, Removed.

I already had someone ask about those, From what I've gathered they're fine but only because they each come back on a slider so the accuracy isn't very strict.

Hi. M4M from your queue

  • [General]
  1. combo color 1 and combo colour 3 have virtually no differences. Remove one of them, or replace it with another
  2. between Easy and Normal there is no difference in the SV (slider Velocity). Change, otherwise defeats the purpose of having difficulties

  • [Easy]
  1. 00:12:289 (4,5) - uneven blanket, i think
  2. 00:29:089 (1,2) - flow here is not very uniform. I suggest move (2) on 296;136
  3. 00:41:389 (5) - copy 00:40:789 (4) - , Ctrl+H and reverse
  4. 00:44:689 (3) - make the slider a little more curved

  • [Normal]
  1. 00:03:889 (4,5) - overmapping. idk it gives rhythm, but...
  2. 00:07:789 (2,3,4) - again. Hm, okay
  3. 00:23:689 (6,1) - can be done about better, like this
  4. 00:41:689 (2,5) - stack?
  5. 00:45:889 (1) - more logical to finish this slider to 00:48:289, spinner moved on 00:48:589

t+pazolite 100 bpm, it's really unusual for me. Good luck!

Uhh, not really, didn't want a SV increase for a Normal and there's a DS increase anyways so they balance out.

Ok, does look a little better stacked.
  5. 00:45:889 (1) - more logical to finish this slider to 00:48:289, spinner moved on 00:48:589
Reserved, First off the slider is representing the held note not the distance between two notes, secondly this would break consistency with the spinner across the two diffs
