If your making a beatmap in ctb, are you allowed to make burai slider. No one would basically even know it's a burai.

People still call them Burai sliders. I'm so happy. :')

Since the fruits in CtB are based on their x-position, can't you just make a similar shape that has the same x coverage as a burai slider would? For instance, using a slider shaped like a "<" should have the same x-movement as a burai would.

But if you're still just wondering anyway, there isn't anything in the guidelines that are to the contrary of that... At the least....

I would assume so if you wanted such a sharp turn. It would be hard to read and edit in the editor though so I tend to avoid them.

Not quite; the < slider would have slower sideways movement, a burai slider like that could simply be a repeatslider though, resulting in the same shape as the burai slider.
