I just went came back from school and was interested in discussing this, and now it's gone. Talking about the deep web is not against the rules. I'd like an explanation for why we are forbidden from talking about it. Or else I'll just make another thread.

What's to discuss? 99% of the deep web is unindexed and uninteresting official documents and what-not, and assorted data, and 1% of it is the dark stuff like assassinations/sex trafficking/drugs/anarchy/snuff movies. At best it's a boring topic, and at worst it's morbid.
Might be able to get a thread going in OT or reddit though if you fancy it that much.

I don't know, that stuff sounds interesting to me.
I could talk about anything I wanted on other forums NOT REDDIT but what really annoys me is when discussion is censored for no reason. Finally an interesting topic, but apparently it's too grown up for us so oh, let's delete this thread and have people going back to 'post your pet' shitposting and other inane crap. deadbeat (praise him, one of the only good mods) even said it was ok.

Like what? As for as I know we weren't discussing the contents of the more illegal sites, so vaguely talking about the sites themselves should be fine. And if a particular post was so offensive, you could just delete that rather than the whole thread.deadbeat wrote:

it was ok up to a certain point. while discussions about things are ok, there is a limit to what can be discussed. if there is a way to talk about the deep web without talking about, or mentioning inappropriate content that's fine. but the original thread failed to do so, and thus, it's gone.

This is why GD sucks. There's no point in having a 'general discussion' forum if you have to censor every mature subject. That's why all of the proper interesting discussions happen in OT because the rules are more relaxed and the regulars there are relatively more mature than the normy weebs in the rest of the forum.

And on that, you missed the entire point of the thread. I dont give a fuck about peppy making a comment (and those threads were locked too so uhhh im not sure what your point is). The thread is discussing the neccessity of things like sex changes and identification as a transgender when the issue lie within gender roles rather than physical demands. I honestly wouldnt give a shit if they closed the thread (except id probably ask someone why it was closed). Because its like "oh no, something went wrong. Thats not ok to discuss here. Whatever."
Additionally, I dont think youve even been through half of the shit Ive been through with the moderation. Spend 6 years as CDFA and see half the shit I had to deal with and then you might be able to say "the moderation is corrupt" without sounding like a whiny baby
