Threads exist for the opposite question but I think this one brings up more interesting discussion.
Considering how many remakes that have come up in the past few years as well as the increase in shows being slated for more seasons what shouldn't make another appearance? It is easy to say X anime is so bad it shouldn't be dug up, but I am more interested in what animes if remade etc. would be nothing less than sacrilege. It doesn't matter whether one has been announced or not.
I have a few but one that immediately comes to mind is Princess Tutu.
There has definitely been a push for animes to be increasingly short with splitting them up into 12 episode parts occurring more frequently and while Princess Tutu could probably be reduced to a 26 episode series I believe it would damage the experience of it. I'd also expect the series' thematic nature to be toned down as theme heavy anime are often overlooked by the vast majority; Kyousogiga, Uchouten Kazoku, Yurikuma Arashi even Mawaru Penguindrum for examples from the past few years. I'd also hate to see the dancing to be blanketed by cost saving CGI.
