Hello. Since osu! is comprised of many modes from other games (I think?), I propose the mode called "Technika". This is based off of DJMax Technika (or whatever it's called).
Anyways, I'm suggesting something on the lines of this: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/26932
A line moves across the top and bottom at different times, which replace the approach circles. There are four types of circles:
Hit Circle - It's a normal hit circle to press when the line hits through the middle.
Slider - Same thing, basically.
Hold - You hold the note until the line gets to the end of the hold. This can reach out through to the bottom line.
Repeat - There are markers on the line of the "hold" area. Press the circle again when the line hits the repeat area.
How osu! would translate to Technika:
Hit circles and sliders would stay the same. However, spinners would turn into "repeat" notes. A portion would turn into the "hold" notes. The timing would move the notes to either the top or the bottom, depending on the BPM of the sliding line.
