IT'S ANNOUNCED! ;____________________________________;
It's not going to be a Wii title, which only means the engine and graphics will be better. :D
Also, the entire trailer was made with the game engine, so they don't have anything to hide. ^_^
And it's Beyond Good and Evil. This cannot fail. Unless it's a PS3 exclusive. Then I'll murder something. <___<
Here's the source, complete with BAWWWWing fanboys. :/

The first console game I ever played finally gets a sequel. ;_;
Edit: The trailer. >:3

I'm afraid to watch the trailer because I haven't beaten the first one (but still intend to). Still, great to hear that it's being made. :)

I haven't played the first one but there doesn't appear to be anything spoileriffic about it unless a fat pig-human thing snorting a bug is a spoiler

tbqh the video is rather pointless?

Well, I'm sure they're just showing off their graphics, and the fact that the game exists.

Definitely not a spoiler. <_<

Nah, there's no spoilers.

Go and pick up the original if you can... it's insanely cheap and worth all the effort to obtain. I practically forced all my friends to purchase it years ago. :)

ooooh a PS2 title

seems worth checking out too. I believe I heard this game win one of those "best game nobody played" awards.

Yeah, it's one of those lost gems. I played a bit of the beginning... it didn't entrance me enough to keep me playing, but I really loved the atmosphere.

It's not just a PS2 title. It was on every last gen game console and the PC. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

But even though it's got massive heaps of praise from the press, I can see why it got ignored. It feels like a committee designed it and is completely and utterly forgettable. Not a bad game, mind you, just a game that doesn't do anything so well that it stands out.

And what's with the Nietzsche in the name? Seriously?

If your PC is decent, you can get it on Steam for $10.

The first Beyond Good & Evil is great, but I just want the creator to hurry up and make a real Rayman sequel afterward. The second one is an all-time favorite of mine, and the sequels have gotten progressively worse (Raving Rabbids is barely Rayman at all).

I can't wait for this. I didn't even know a sequel was announced, with how forgotten the original is. Anyone who likes the 3D Zeldas should play it, because it is very, very similar, except for the sci fi setting. Now we just need Psychonauts 2 to be announced.

<3 Huge fan of the original BGnE. I just hope they keep the spirit of the original in the sequel. x_X;

The Rayman from Rayman 1 scared the sh*t out of me when I was smaller. D:

Although the original was missed by the majority, it was the smaller population that forced/begged/pleaded Ubisoft to finally make it. If you tried to play it before and stopped, try it again.

BGE2 better keep the top-notch production, game play, and voice acting. Oh... and keep any Raving Rabbid cameos to a minimum. ;)

Actually, it was Michel Ancel who threatened to quit if he didn't get to develop BG&E 2. :3
Now, let's hope it gets popular enough for the third one to become reality. :D

Also, I played through the first one with all the pictures, M-disks(Except for one, the one you need an Internet code for) and pearls, and I went into combat all the time instead of stalking. It's a bit like Assassin's Creed, hard at first, but easy when you get used to it. :>

Based solely on this thread, I bought Beyond Good and Evil today, on PS2, for 10 bux

The guy at the register said "Ohhhhhhh this game is awesome!"
