[Osu!mania Editor] Storyboard 1 bug and 2 command in need.

errr... i wont make this long, so i will just get to the point :
this is all about storyboard hitsound ( orange note on mania, by another layer of the editor, pressing TAB )

Bug & feature request, i know its perhaps best to make another thread but since they are relevant, i dont think i need to make 2 different thread while im sure both can be solved by the same programmer of sampling editor.

BUG that exist since more than 2 years ago :
  • SINCE its rare that people use storyboard hitsound and at first it doesnt really bugging but.... lets remove this bug once and for all.
  1. BUG that cause the storyboard hitsound volume exceeding 150% or so, its just soooo loud.
    This happens WHEN, mapper using "Undo(CTRL+Z)" if one havent trigger the bug, maybe two or more undo SHOULD do.
    after the bug happen, WHENEVER the editor play those storyboard sound, its became so damn loud.
    can be fix by reenter editor, of course some UNDO will trigger this bug again.

2 command, Preferably in Sampling Editor (CTRL+SHIFT+I)
  • by adding two more button :
  1. "Note to Sample" ( works Similar as "SAMPLE" command in Sampling editor )
    (this only works on a note that have hitsound by using sampling editor , eg : 36,192,29810,1,0,0:0:0:23:LR_KBF.wav)
    -the selected note will be deleted from mania chart, and the hitsound of LR_KBF.wav with 23% volume will be add to sample/storyboard sound at 29810 offset.
    -so yeap, if i select two note, each from 1/1 beat, so each will got removed, and each 1/1 beat on the background sample will have those storyboard sound.
    -works for multiple note selection on different offset.
  2. "Sample to Note"
    -the exact reverse of the command above, by sending orange note on the background, to mania chart.
    -works for multiple note selection as well.
I really need this to make a fully keysound mania chart.
For example im mapping Insane with Drum beat, Piano right hand, and Piano left hand hitsound.
in Hard i should send all drum beat hitsound to the background, while keeping the rest as keysound note.
in Normal , i should focus on Piano right hand as main, while left hand to storyboard background.
in Easy, its best to focus on Piano left hand sound, while the rest is storyboard hitsound.


Hitsounding all of the note manually ONE by ONE is slowly killing the mapper, thats why its rare to find mania mapper want to do a completely perfect hitsound map.

(osu editor can't handle custom sample data well when moving notes, creating unwanted meddley of all sounds at once)

The editor in general needs to have a hitsound system overhaul.
