Try putting something like the "drum" palette or something louder on the kiai. My opinion for a bit. Also on the accents in the singer's voice maybe add a clap?

I think I may just increase the volume at the chorus part for the hitsounds. I prefer simple hitsounding but I will use the whistle accent more vocal cues.

I do feel like you are slightly early in your timing. I feel the correct offset is 00:00:260 - but also double check it before changing it to said offset.

you do not need hanamaru in the tags because you have that in the source

please disable letterbox during breaks

Also, the SV is weird for the set (cup is 1.2 while both salad and platter is 1.6)

00:06:518 (3) - for the sound where the repeat is here it is consistent throughout the map (i.e. every red tick) so i am wondering why this is the only underbeat you have mapped like this (All of the other ones have a vocal or have a strong melody beat on it). You do map red ticks but you have plenty of 1/1 sliders that you could make like this slider through the map but you don't so I am just sorta confused on why this one note is different.

Ranked offsets can be wrong so be careful pulling them from maps. There are plenty of horribly timed maps that are ranked on osu (some with BPM and offset completely wrong) so always double check before you use those numbers. Even if someone like Charles, lolcubes or Deif did the timing I would do a quick check because it might've been one of their earlier timed maps when they are not the GODS they are now at timing or they didn't fully go through a map to see if the timing does change somewhere in the middle (among various other reasons).

For the SV, it normally goes up through the difficulties (like 1.2 for cup, 1.4 for salad, 1.6 for platter, 1.8 for rain and 2 for overdose) so that is what i was getting at by it felt weird.

Salad dashes I just wanted to point that out. I do not mind an easier Salad, but other people would prefer one with more than three mandatory dashes in it. There are places where you can add dashes to help accent the map (and you don't have to put them in every spot) but I know what I feel should be accented might be totally different than what you feel should be accented.

The repeat is just one that stood out to me. It isn't mapped to the vocals but you hit the underbeat (the red tick) with the repeat but none of the other spots you did this when you had the same option to do it and it just seemed off in my head because - out of like 8 or so spots that you could have added this - this is the only spot you did add it. It is just one of those weird things that caught my eye, nothing major though. Map is fine how it is if you leave it like that (i know i am butchering this and i can explain better ;-; if you are still confused, you know how to get ahold of me and i can explain better there).

Lastly, kudos is when you want to give them. If you think you will forget, give kudos on my first post and I will just say "no kudos" on my next mod post. I will probably take another look after a mod or two more so Salad can have a good look.

01:02:051 (3,1) - I would add a dash here because of the changing of the piano (?) goes really high

The other suggestions i didnt mention i didnt take or took a look and changed but didnt accept your suggestions. I think this platter is fitting as i feel this map for this song shouldnt be too hard. I also tried to map in a way that was like an improved standard convert so it flows really well.

Modding as part of the


General Comments:
  1. Song Folder: No issues (1024x768 is fine as a BG resolution). The original video was 428x240, but with some fiddling and encoding I managed to source a 1280x720 version, audio removed, and compressed to just under 14MB, which can be found HERE. It might need a slight offset adjustment to sync with the audio, but it's 3am and I really don't feel I can do a good job right now. Poke me some other time if you need help though >.<
  2. Song Setup: Disable widescreen support for all diffs, since you're not using a widescreen-compatible SB
  3. Metadata: No issues
  4. Timing: No issues
  5. Hitsounds: No issues
  6. AImod: No issues
Difficulty-Specific Comments:

Cup
Before I go into too much detail, I'll say that there's an awful lot of 1/2 patterns in this diff, which is quite out of place for a Cup. I'd strongly recommend simplifying some 1/2 patterns into 1/1 patterns to create a more reasonable spread, examples below:
  1. 00:02:051 (1,2) and similar in the intro
  2. 00:15:707 (4) - 00:17:946 (5) - 00:25:110 (4) - etc.
  3. 00:19:961 (2,3) - 00:27:125 (1,2) - etc.
  4. 00:22:648 (3) - Note density is especially high here with all the repeat sliders. Consider replacing with 1/1 slider/circles
  5. 00:28:692 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - Timeline patterns like these are great, as they allow you to incorporate some 1/2 whilst still focusing on more dominant 1/1 patterns
  6. 00:53:991 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4,1) - 9 consecutive 1/2 beats in a row is a serious no-no, regardless of the simplicity of the pattern. It's a real spread killer ;_;
  7. Weirdly, the kiai has simpler timeline patterns than the rest of the song, with predominantly 1/1 sliders interspersed with the occasional 1/2 circle or 1/2 spacing. I really like this arrangement, it's much more appropriate for the difficulty
  8. No spinner? It would be nice if you could add one for score differentiation. I'd remove 00:56:230 (2,3,1) and place a spinner from 00:56:230 to 00:57:573 with a finish hitsound followed by a circle at 00:58:021 where the slider (1) currently ends
Won't go into too much detail due to the above, but a few other points worth mentioning:
  1. 00:17:274 (4) - Quite a prominent vocal note, create some spacing from the previous note please
  2. 00:18:170 (1) - ^ since it's on the downbeat as well
  3. 00:19:961 (2) - NC here for a consistent pattern of NC every 4 beats
  4. 01:13:021 (1,3) - (3) is more prominent, so I'd swap NC here (also creates more equalised combo lengths)
  5. 01:21:304 (1,2) - ^

Salad
  1. 00:06:528 (3) - Move this to about x-96, the dash will create a nice emphasis with the 1/1 pause after it
  2. 00:13:692 (4,5) - If you followed the above, move to x-320 for another dash to be consistent with the previous suggestion. Also consider moving 00:14:140 (5,6) or 00:14:588 (1) to create a dash to (1), as it's a strong note and starts a new section of the song
  3. 00:17:274 (3) - x-176 for the strong vocal note please
  4. 00:20:857 (5) - ^ x-128
  5. 00:24:439 (3,4,1) - Spacing is really strange here, the two most prominent notes have the lowest spacing :3 I Ctrl+H'ed (3), rotated 30 degrees clockwise and moved to x-320 and (4) to x-272. This creates dashes to (3) and (1)
  6. 00:28:245 (4,5) - You could combine these into a 1/2 slider to match the vocals
  7. 00:36:976 (3) - Slider maps the vocals, but the tail is a drum beat, so suggest splitting into 1/2 slider and circle to distinguish these
  8. 00:38:767 (4) - x-480 for the strong vocal note please
  9. 00:40:782 (4) - Strongly suggest splitting this into a circle and 1/1 slider so that you can NC on the prominent vocal note at 00:41:230 - this combo is currently 14 fruits, which is excessive for a Salad and can stack on the plate, obstructing the player's view. The "wa" vocal on the head of the slider has some deal of finality, so I feel it fits well
  10. 00:43:916 (2) - x-272 for the strong vocal note please
  11. 00:44:812 (4) - NC here because you're following a 4 beat NC pattern in the rest of the song
  12. 00:49:513 (3) - Drums are quite weak here, so I'd prefer if you followed the vocals and just made this a 1/1 slider
  13. 01:10:782 (2,3,4,5,1) - It's really good that you incorporated some basic 1/4 patterns into the kiai to bridge the step up to Platter, but I feel the spacing is a little high here. I'd move to around x-64 so it's a bit more lenient

Platter
  1. 00:14:588 (1) - This is a very strong note, with finish, so I'd strongly recommend creating a hyper either to or from this note
  2. 00:27:573 (2,3,4,5,6) - Hyper antiflow is kinda annoying here, and not particularly pretty to look at imo. I don't feel the hyper to (3) really fits, so I'd just arrange them into a curve with a regular dash to (3), like this:
  3. 00:38:543 (3,4) - Strong hyper into a strong anti-facing slider is a real pain, it's so easy to miss a bunch of droplets. Please consider reducing the angle on (4), curving it, or other alternative to alleviate this
  4. 00:38:767 (4) - Is the whistle on the slider body intentional here? You hardly use it anywhere else so it feels out of place
  5. 00:50:297 - There's a drum beat here you could map for a nice triplet; x-168 creates a dash that flows quite nicely imo and isn't too punishing
  6. 00:55:334 (7) - Would be nice if there was a hyper to this slider to match the 00:54:439 (3,4) jump
  7. 01:00:483 (4,5) and 01:00:931 (6,1) - There's a lack of hdash in the start of the kiai - here are two places where you could add one to make the patterns a little more challenging
  8. 01:04:625 - Would be good to add a note here for the pitch change of the synth, makes a nice triplet
  9. 01:18:170 (4) - Same as 00:38:767 (4)
