Award Mapping Badges to Maps

There are some maps which are straight up awful, there are a bunch of ok maps, and then there there are maps which make you go, "THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER SINCE <insert thing here>". We talk about some maps being awesome, but it would be really cool if they had some sort of official recognition, something like a badge. These kind of maps show creativity beyond the norm with patterns, storyboard, or other gameplay elements all put together to achieve a masterpiece. I propose letting QATs award badge to maps that deserve such recognition. I think a agreement of at least 3 QATs should qualify such map and each difficulty should count as its own. So what do you guys think?

QATs dont always share the same opinion as the greater mapping/user mass, so I cant really approve on the 3 QATs thing. We'd have to make exceptions and exceptions on who, when, why, etc. Mapping styles differ and so do opinions. QAT A and Mapper A may think that Map A is totally great, but QAT B and Mapper B think that it sucks. Yet they think that Map B is great, but QAT A and Mapper A do not. (rinse, repeat)

Im not too sure if this would work out well too easy - General idea though? I like.

That's why I see only a handful of maps receiving this badge, making it a very prestigious and rare thing. I'm sure there will be at least several maps the majority can agree are really great. Such maps would go down into osu! history.

Arent these technically already written in history, just by being there? Stuff like BigBlack and FDFD is basically known by everyone, which is some kind of badge itself.
Then there's stuff like the Map of the Year. Pretender and stuff. Also, MBCs.
I'd maybe say that we could think about some kind of chartlike voting system each month. Got a great map? Add it to the list and let the community decide ... or something

(Also, talking about that, can we please move the MBC songs out of the most played. Nobody cares about them ;w;)

I don't think I have been long enough here to notice some of these stuff. I know we have monthly ranking charts, but those apply to the mapset generally. Individual difficulties is what I want to get at.
