option to only show friends in world map

howdy!
if there is a same post, then delete this.
my suggestion is it would be nice when i check the box "friend only" and automatically the world map shows only red dots of your friends that is online.

Couldn't you just check your friends little user card(or whatever it's called).
It will tell you the countries.
Example: 00.23 GMT+2 @ Germany(I think that's the format at least)
So I don't see any big use for this,especially since the world map is pretty useless in the first place,IMO ^^

I really don't see any harm in this, and the world map could use a few features of its own. :?

How many people actually use the world map though?
No real point in adding a feature to something that noone uses.
Perhaps I'm missing something useful with the map though...

Well I believe that adding extra features to the map might lead more people to consider using it.
This feature can be applied, I don't see why not.

I took some time to put this basic image as an example:

Yeah basically what I'm saying here is to apply a Legend. (Even though this one is a tad big :P )

Special events that happen at other countries can be placed at the map as well.
I'm guessing that a STAR icon at the Legend / map might work for these.

Later on you could even apply links to those special events at the mappy~ 8-)

but that world map would be the lord of awesomeness if i could see the player's name by pointing the cursor on one of those dots

Until there are a group of people in the same location.

If this were to happen I'd like a "list of users in this area/country/region/whatever", instead of single user information.

Support for the legend too; friend locations would be awesome.
