My current osumania rank is 2550 and i cant improve further because i have kind of exhausted the 4K beatmaps that i can obtain pp from. Now im trying 7K maps but it is very hard for me to use my little finger (nor thumb). Any tips?

Well, you know what they say, ''Practice makes perfect''

That's pretty much the only effective way around this. :P

I wouldn't say that you've completely exhausted 4k already (4k can bring you up to around 4500pp alone, even without being a top player)

Just practice 7k every session and you'll see improvement, even if your 7k is miles away from 4k in skill. Anyone can get better at higher keymodes :)

Hi

My 4k skill is relatively greater than my 7k skill such that am not able to receive any PP from 7k maps. Nevertheless, I still am still improving and will eventually reach the breakpoint. Just don't give up and you'll get there. Also expect a drop in your rank for an extended period of time if you really can't improve at 4k anymore, but don't let that scare you.

This is why it's better to start 7k early. It takes much longer to build the coordination needed for 7k, so it's best to start early. And, if you really care about trying to get the highest rank you can, you will NEED to learn 7k because of how PP values and star rating are calculated.

Also, because of how PP works, even maintaining the exact same rank for months actually requires you to actively improve as a player, because there are always new players coming into the game, and new maps to play. That means there are more opportunities to increase your PP over time, and more players to compete with you for the same rank.

When osumania started, I was roughly rank 250, now I'm all the way down to 813, but I'm FAR better at the game than I was back then.
