ONLY 5 MAPS AT A TIME. I LEARNED MY LESSON.
A couple minutes before I thought to post this thread, someone in #modhelp lamented that their queue lacked anything "worth modding". Personally, I believe every beatmap has potential, and I wish to mod any Standard maps people may have. I ask for nothing in exchange: I merely wish to help people improve their beatmaps. However, there will be laid a few ground rules first:
1. No Taiko/CtB/Mania difficulties will be modded: I have nothing against these modes. But, due to the complexities of mania and the lack of support for Taiko and CtB in the editor, I am not adept at these modes, and it is not fair to anyone to give them uneducated advice.
2. No maps that are intentionally designed to beat unbeatable: These maps are not fair to osu players, and have no potential. If they are remapped in a playable fashion, I will mod them.
3. You aren't required to take my advice: I can't force you to change your maps. But if you aren't willing to make the changes, any more asking for advice will result in me repeating my original advice.
4. You can ask for GDs: I am not inflexible on this, but you must bear in mind I tend to be rather... um, unique.
5. TAG maps and 490 style maps can be presented: These I have no problem with. Executed well, these can be enjoyable to play and challenging. However, expect to see heavy modding to make them more polished.
6. CS6, CS7, and AR10 maps are allowed: I have always been a proponent of these stats. However, please try to be conservative if you use them. Especially with CS7. I will try my best to find a way to make these maps do justice these stats.
7. Nothing IOSYS or Nico Nico Douga (Touhou excluded): I object to these for very specific reasons. These songs are all over the place, and their mapping is a nightmare to make both complementary and sane.
8. I do not mod GDs: This is a personal belief of mine. I just feel that a GD is the ground of its creator, and me modding it is questioning their judgment as a mapper.
9. No maps above 4 mins: I made the mistake of originally okaying longer maps. Problem is, they can take many hours, hours which could have been better used on shorter maps. Sorry.
10. Asking for GDs is allowed: I know how hard garnering GDs can be, so I'm glad to be of help.
With that said, fire away.
