I assume he means cartoons, like ones you would see on Cartoon Network (Adult Swim) (like family guy for example) or Nickelodeon , especially since he brought up the boondocks.

Not sure if it belongs in Otaku Culture though, because otaku generally refers to Japanese-related stuff.
I dont see any particular thread focused on the discussion of these specifically, but there are question threads like What shows are you currently watching? (Not Anime) and What is your favorite non-anime television show that can be arguably intended for this. I suggest OP go visit those threads, since this forum really is just for anything japanese. If you're really unsure, ask a mod. Deadbeat usually does the Otaku Culture forum moderation.

Ofc, the other side is arguable since the RWBY thread is in otaku culture.
Might just need a mod opinion on this.

I'd argue that RWBY shouldn't be here either though.

I don't acknowledge Western Anime as a thing that exists.

i think he's referring to cartoons done in the style of anime. i personally don't have an issue with such topics. though it does kinda borderline it a bit

I wonder is anyone still remembers Team Galaxy, Martin Mystery, Totally Spies, Ben 10, Megas XLR and all the other oldies' Western anime?

OP implies "Western Anime" as animations being made in the US.

So yeah, RWBY is appropriate here

I realise that but the whole concept of western anime is just the idea that"It's not a cartoon IT'S ANIME" gone completely mad.

Are people going to accept an Inception thread because the fact it was apparently inspired by Paprika?
