Osu when using Fullscreen forces the monitor to change its resolution
And this doesnt' revert back to original settings properly.

Put yourself in fullscreen mode at maximum resolution.
Then use lowest fullscreeen resolution
then turn off Fullscreen.

Normally, Your monitor should return to your original resolution, then create a window of the lowest resolution.
But instead the monitor stays at the lowest resolution and creates a "borderless" window instead.

If you mess around with it more there's a lot more other ways to get the same/similar effect.

Also, After i messed around some more, i ended up with 1920x1080 (Custom) with my cursor locked to an 800x600 window on the top left corner.

I could recreate. It's pretty odd.
Osu! cutting edge and stable have different reactions to it, but they both look like bugs.

Here's the cutting edge build screenshot that OP is talking about:

And here's the osu! stable screenshot, which seems to remove the osu border and force it to the left-hand corner.

Also, sometimes a situation like this happens.

1920x1080 Monitor screen with 1920x1080 osu window

But mouse locks in a 800x600 on the top left corner.

Problem Details:
I had my osu! on fullscreen, and when i turned full screen off the window just went into the top left corner of my screen, and i can't move it around at all.

Video or screenshot showing the problem:

Merged the threads.

To clarify...

When switching from Fullscreen to Windowed mode
  • In the Stable build
[list:1337]osu! goes into borderless windowed mode instead of bordered windowed mode.(I could replicate this.)
  • osu!does sometimes not re-center the window properly. (I could not replicate this.)
In the Cuttingedge build
  • osu! does not change the monitor's resolution back to what it was, but does change the window resolution. (I could replicate this.)

  2. Fix alt-tab out of fullscreen not reverting to desktop resolution correctly. (Tom94)
  3. Fix fullscreen not restoring properly after alt-tab. (Tom94)
The changes will be applied to builds newer than b20150502.2cuttingedge.

Please follow up in this thread if you believe more work needs to be done to fix the mentioned issues. If they have not yet been resolved, please provide any new details that may have arisen after this build.

I'm not sure if this works for everyone. but I but my Horizontal and Verticle Letterbox Positioning up to %100. Works for me.
