So, I have some questions about this map

1) Is this mp3 would be considered acceptable for ranking? I know that it's a very old cartoon, but I believe that there should be better one ver - this one seems to be just ripped from youtube video and might have timing-related issues...

2) Metadata clarification. I wasn't able to find any reliable sources about this song, neither cartoon. Artist & title is definilely incorrect (John Kelham is just credited for "music" for cartoon, and I wasn't able to find any sources about actual title). Another problem is Source - "t" at "the Brollys" was uncapitalized at the original cartoon, while Wiki shows itas capitalized, and you guys complained about asian metadata?

So...

The MP3 is fine, it's still on acceptable level, everything can be heard

Tried googling a bit but ntg came up ;3

A lot songs have Unknown Artist, so if you can find a source for old songs, reliable or not, it's fine imo

Seems MP3 was changed and it's cool

In this case it would be "Unknown Artists - Unknown Title", which would be just hilarious (and I'm very against naming maps like in 2007). Lets just search a bit more :х

Please Loctav/ppy make a rule regarding such nameless/titleless songs (either clearly forbidding them, or specifying what should be the exact one for the nameless/titleless songs like this). Otherwise, such undefinition hurts us all at all... like a room inside a room, like a door behind a door... like a dream inside a dream with infinite nesting...

just qualify it, we will see then :3

I believe the metadata is correct

Artist is John Kelham because john is first name and Kelham is last name, so second name is Barleycorn but the more correct is John Kelham

Title - as the old cartoon like other olds animes is Opening, John did write the song but he didn't pick name to the title so is random we will never found, so better use opening, just like other maps example this https://osu.ppy.sh/s/217119 and many more.

Sourçe Tag: add Barleycorn and Kelham Island Voices

the metadata is correct

This song will be deleted.

Reason: this song has NO title.

Certainty level: 100%.
Why ? Metadata is correct anyway good luck and don't give up

The only thing I can really suggest is to add Theme in the middle of this song. Usually we classify any sort of opening/ending as a theme song.

Opening Theme Song
the Brollys Opening Theme Song

I would personally use one of the two above when given a choice. I don't see anything wrong with classifying what the song is when there isn't any official metadata provided, though you never know what is going through the minds of the QATs. All I'm saying, is that I'd personally qualify the song with one of the above titles.

And yes. I have done research on this song, even going so far back as to looking at archived pages of the channel it was broadcasted on, and I found nothing, and trying to look up the company name through various ways. It just simply doesn't exist.

The only official source of anything is verifying the music is by John Kelham in the credits. He may not be the singer, but being able to credit the composer of the song is more than enough.

one thing I do suggest is to lowercase the "the" in the source/title much like the logo does.

Source: the Brollys

SPOILER
Don't forget to change the y to an umbrella as well
Source: the Broll☂s ;)

It's a joke by the way.

Hopefully this helps in some ways. If you want to qualify it based on my metadata suggestions, then tell the QAT to shoot the DQ at me if metadata gets it disqualified. Seriously :P

I'm awfully Thankful for your all words :3 from everyone @Pereira @Lanturn @Sieg

Just a detail: the map is mine, so I can't go full yolo O_O

In truth, it's up to Kodora to restore the bubble. And Pereira/Lanturn/Sieg can then qualify it. Just let me adjust the metadata to the clever reasonings from the wisest I'd read here.

(I still just an apprentice)

Cool. Well I went through the map, and there's one more thing I'd like confirmed before pushing this forward.

-Timing. The ending feels off.
This is what I got. I'm not sure how correct it is since I'm not the best timer, but I gave it a shot. You can copy paste this, since you only have red timings at the end of the song. All I do know is that the ending needs to be timed better for this to pass RC. Maybe double-check with pishifat or Ike or someone since I don't even trust myself.

I can't rebubble this until QATs confirm that such title usage is fine, sorry

If you want, you can ask other BNs to rebubble or ask some QATs to confirm the title - I'll rebubble in this case.

Since no one else seems to be doing this. I sent a message to a few QAT so we can hopefully get this case resolved. I offered a few suggestions, so I'll see what they come back with.

I suggested a couple things.

Using Classification, such as using "Opening Theme Song" like earlier
Unknown Title.

Hopefully we get an answer soon. Making a rule about this like Lust suggested would take months or years to actually pass, so I'm hoping to get this specific case solved without having to wait that long.
Pereira006
Any news ? this answer will be take long time... or we have to do as Lust's post ?
BeatofIke
I only enhanced the timing.
Deif
Seems like the beatmap was finally deleted by the creator. Whatever~
