Round 33: Post Spinner Notes

Nominated by NoHItter. Basically a note or series of notes after a long spinner (at the end of the song)

Map(s) that use this technique
Hatsune Miku - Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu [Uninstall] mapped by DJPop.
Tomohito Nishiura - Deserted Amusement Park [Mysterious] mapped by NoHItter
Iwadare Noriyuki - Meta Knight's Revenge [Bridge] mapped by K2J

I don't like them that much.
Sallad4ever
Not a fan of them especially if the notes is only 150ms apart from the spinner

4.

Most times, they work. It's just the playability of them that annoys most people.

If there were halves. I would be putting 3 1/2 instead.

I think they're okay...if you are just hating cause you have trouble hitting them, spin smaller circles/more to the center for better control.

So that's a 3.

Posted example appears to be a bad one; they're too close together. At least half a second (rule of thumb: 1 to 2 beats based on BPM and this BPM looks fast).

Sliders are dodgy because on the rare occasion they don't render in front of the spinner and when they don't that shit just don't fly.

I always miss them.

4. I always hit them. And I like them in most cases.

I like them, brilliant when there's two fast beats at the end of a song. They are sometimes misused though, so 4.

I like how it's not even snapped properly. Go, DJPop!

EDIT: But seriously, what usually happens is that since I tend to only like FC'ing songs, when I miss the note it forces me to retry the song until I FC that final part, instead of being able to leave it for a while.

Terrible when on the ending spinner.

Addictively fun when done with a spinner building up just before the chorus. See Touc--- oh wait, I haven't uploaded that yet. ^-^;

I hate them :o
CheeseWarlock
I don't really have a strong objection from a musical flow standpoint, but I often don't like how these play out.

Then again I've used them in some WIPs.
Hanyuu
i hate it alot
qlum
good except when you think the map ends after the spinner.

I like this <3

Really, really hate 'em.

pretty annoying

They are bad for ppl doing big spinner circles and good for tablet users.
They mess up CtB play.

Therefore I hate them wholeheartedly. 1.

Haahaha.

These notes remind me of the Dark Night. Except not awesome.

"Oh finally, the movie's over, wait what? The joker escaped and there's more? It's been 2 hours already and they could have ended it TWICE now and I have to pee..."

Every time it didn't end, it became more awesome~ so it's k \:D/
Except that's not the case with these kind of notes.

1/5. Too difficult
1 beat after spinner is okay
Stefan
Since this Mapping Technique isn't really used for today you'll find them rarely on newer Maps.
As long they fits it's okay but not recommened to overuse.. 3/5

No, I am not necroing. lelel

Mappers already know their own and other, up to date mapping techniques, so these aren't as important for many anymore.

Nice to see you guys bumping up one of the least favourite mapping techniques too.

Cheap way to map the final beat in the music. Spinner can hit the last note just perfectly fine, so I don't see a point in using this :|
This type of still is still commonly used in Hard/Insane diffs tho. And they could work well in certain spots of a song i guess.

3/5
