Having read the topic's name it might be more or less obvious already:
I'm looking for a good mouse to play osu with.

I have yet to choose a particular grip style since i play Osu with a tablet at the moment.

The mouse I'm interested in the most right now is the Logitech G502 Proteus Core.

I came to this decision after reading through the geekhack mouse guide 2.0 that one or another here might be familiar with.
Also, the Logitech G400s fits perfectly in my hand (unfortunately I don't own one, my brother does). The Logitech G502 has yet to be tested regarding that.

Anyway, before I buy a mouse I'd like to hear the Osu community's opinion.
Without a doubt there are quite a few people with much more experience and knowledge on this topic around here.

(Also, sorry in case my english seems a little off, I posted in the wrong section or I didn't search right for a similiar and up to date thread.)

Thanks in advance,
Kamo

No mice are good.

Any good mouse will do. You're looking for the usual stuff - go read up some mice lists on the internet, there are a few good ones

Well, there is the Logitech G402, the Razer DeathAdder, the IME 3.0, the Zowie mice, plenty of them. I personally use a Logitech G400s because the size of the mouse fits my hand perfectly for mouse only. The main thing is to make sure that the mouse has an optical sensor and (Maybe) make sure that it's wired. Wireless mice have very slight input lag.

Although I'm definitely not one of those highly skilled players, those are some good mice that I suggest.

any gaming mouse that fits your style

fixed that for you

If we're comparing good mice, it mostly comes down to preference. I particularly like the Steelseries Sensei because of its shape and ambidextruous design, but that's up to you (people are going to bitch because "yadda yadda laser sensor" and that kind of stuff, but go look up tests on this mouse before you do)

This.
I could bring up the topic about whether to buy wireless or wired, but I guess there are many topics out there to discuss this.

literally the only acceptable mouse

Mine is horrible for anything within osu!.

There's no single mouse that's best for osu. It depends on two things: 1. build properties of mouse, 2. sensor precision and sensitivity. If g400s fits your hand perfectly then I see no reason why not to get one unless the sensor is not what you're looking for.

You can use any mouse. Osu isn't exactly very equipment demanding. Go with something simple if you don't want to spend much money, or buy the Logitech mouse you want if you go all out. Before I switched to tablet, I used this one http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g100s-optical-gaming-mouse
It's very minimal, but it's a beast and does it's job well :)

???????

Most mice with good sensors listed here

Some people complain about strange drift issues with the G502, but others don't seem to have the problem or don't notice it.

Most mice will do.

Logitech G303 :)
The Pixart PWM3366 is the closest you'll ever get to the IME 3.0's MLT04 sensor
