Problem Details:

While spectating, the spectator data failed to buffer and resulted in a huge latency between the song and the user input (we are talking about more than 30 sec here). The vid doesn't show beyond the 30 sec mark, but I saw the HP bar down to nothing with the cursor bouncing happily, such that the player was still playing on the other end. The freakiest part happens when the song ended. The game just looped between the results screen and the spectating a player restart the map. During that loop, any messages I sent in the chat didn't send. It eventually stops looping for sometime and starts looping again, I think in intervals the delay was occuring. It was replicated once, when the user replayed the map after accidentally going to the song selection, but after playing another song, it didn't happen again.

This is a very old bug. Spectating buffering isn't perfect.

Hey! Welcome to the forums.

The spectator mode isn't perfect :?

This is an old bug that continues to this day.
When you spectate someone in the main menu, as long as you have the map they are playing,
within 10-40 seconds you should be taken to the players screen.
This has to do with multiple technical things which are hard to explain.
In this situation patience is key, and the best thing to do is wait for the player's screen to load! :)

Hope this solved your bug/problem inquiry :)
Happy playing!
