As topic, there are more BNs now and 8 slot of qualified maps isn't enough IMO
Maybe raise it to 10 or 12?

No, because this is a technical limit as opposed to a rule in the ranking criteria.baraatje123 wrote:

Loctav told us to post this here.baraatje123 wrote:

imo there are plenty of potential QATs already, anyway the limit and # of QATs should be raised proportionally so as the limit raises so does the # of QATsSea_Food wrote:
The limit exist so that QATs have enough time to go trough every qualified map and unrank them incase they dont fit the ranking criteria. The limit should be raised when we get more HIGHLY ACTIVE QATs and when they reach good enough coordination that different QATs work on specific maps than others, instead of all working on same 5 maps and the other 3 maps going un noticed. The limit should not be raised just because we have 100 or 10 000 BNs.
Oops, didn't know that xDLust wrote:

Shouldnt it go the other way around? You dont want first raise the limit and then realise "bloody hell there are so many qualified maps and the QATs dont have time for all of them we have to get more QATs now"Kibbleru wrote:
anyway the reason we don't have more qats is because the limit isnt that high yet

There won't be any new QATs unless the limit is raised
Not sure ourselves, its just something that has been stated. Read my post for the justifications behind all of this.Sea_Food wrote:

Why would you demote BNs when no one did something wrong and has negative scoreSea_Food wrote:
If there is a problem that the limit is reached too fast then the solution is to get more QATs as i mentioned above or to demote BNs so that there are not too many. The easy way out the OP suggested would just break the system.
^ I think this o.oBeatofIke wrote:
I'm pretty sure that the 8 cap limit was part of the old system?
Correct me if I'm wrong.
There is 17 QATs raising the rank limit up a bit won't hurt and tbh if the rank limit does get raised I would assume that more QATs will be addedminhtam1638 wrote:
I support this, but this would be contingent on the schedule of those who actually have to go through every beatmap and check it for quality. We don't want to overwork the guys who volunteer to go through all of the maps - they got their own lives to handle too.
But thats what i saidLach wrote:
Looking at those recently qualified maps, maybe the solution is not to increase the limit, but to slow the fuck down. Either that or remove half the BN.
Why are you guys doing thisStarry- wrote:

agree....Lust wrote:
Lach you know all too well that isn't going to fly in the new system. We are simulating modding v2, where anyone can nominate a beatmap once they reach a certain modder score. It would be unfair to those who hit the score requirement to be demoted. Sure slowing down is always good, but you can't expect 100+ people to slow down/not do anything at the same time.
3 nominates for a qualify will be the best alternative for now imo, and will need a discuss in the RC forum then o.oSakura wrote:
More BNs per map to get it qualified?
If this is already supposed to be a simulation, and that is intended to be part of the new system why isn't this already happening? What we have now is something like running large scale theoretical simulations on your dads old desktop pc, as none of the actual framework for the system is in place (aside from adding a lot of people to the old bat group)Lust wrote:
3 nominations for qualify is how things are actually supposed to be in moddingv2 iirc

To be completely honest, I don't specifically think raising the cap will solve our issue because there will be a point where it'll be the exact same, provided we have more mappers and BNs in the future. I believe there has to be a new dynamic in terms of ranking a beatmap and quality control.
Perhaps raising the cap slightly will give us a temporary fix until a new modding system arrives. There definitely needs to be some sort of change, though.
its too late to go back now lol. also that would be retardedSea_Food wrote:

People now have to wait for the limit reset each day, this is going to lead to a snowball effect and the amount of maps waiting for qualification is just going to keep increasing. This imo isn't going to healthy.

How about this: Limit the amount of Nominations an individual BN can use per week/month.
This will make the Nominations worth more and prevent spamming ranks due to punishment if disqualified.
This limits the BN once again, which shouldn't be the case in the future. If he feels 6 maps deserves nomination and he has a limit of 5, why prevent him, it's his decision. That is akin to limiting the amount of mods a person does.Project Railgun wrote:

What's wrong with someone like Sonnyc? He's contributed incredibly to the amount of ranked maps.Project Railgun wrote:

The fact that you don't know what the BAT has become is cause for concern.peppy wrote:
What the FUCK is a BN?
The 8 map limit is not changing anytime soon. If individuals are spamming ranks then I will limit it to one-per-user-per-day.
