Different hit burst for too early/late hit. I belive it would help a lot in learning to stream.

you could use the score meter type "Hit error", check that in the options



it looks like this and appears in the middle of the bottom while playing a beatmap

left = you clicked too early
middle = you clicked timely perfect
right = you clicked too late

That feel when you check the meter every second during a long deathstream and miss notes because its too far away and cant focus on cursor movement

I'm aware of that but, as Sea_Food said, it's little distracting, while hit burst are just under your cursor so you can pay attention to map and still know about accuracy.

Better than seeing your error you should "hear" it, otherwise it will be harder to improve (just a personal thought)

How are you supposed to hear it if you are streaming like 200bpm (13.3 notes per second) on a 205bpm (13.6 notes per second) map?

There is a reason why live versions of songs are pretty much unmappable. Its impossible to keep exact rythm for more than few seconds without help of a metronome or something.

Hit bursts right now are distracting already. So I skinned them off.

Just use the hit error to monitor on how well you do.

I wrote already about hit error, and for hit bursts i use coloured dots, which are not distracting at all. With seperate graphics for early/late hits you could just add arrow or something telling if you should slow down or speed up.

Then there would be soo many hitbursts

Hitting 300's is ok so there's no need for it, just 100 and 50 or at least 2 new graphic for hit late hit early which would be drawn on hitbursts.

It can be really useful, cause I hate that specific score meter (and I use the others), and I have no idea if I'm to late or to early

Useful as in it would make the game much easier. But i think its good because i think that "hard to read/difficult to tell" should never be a part of the difficulty for any game, unless its a specific difficulty increasing mod.
