Hey ya all!

Just got my first osu! tablet ever. I'm kinda noob with it so if anyone could help me out with it that would be awesome.
Things like how to change the active area. I tried to play with the installations but with no success. Also if you got any other tablet tips feel free to share em'!

Edit: Oh yeah. I'm using the "offical" osu! tablet. The one you can buy on this website.

First of all, tell us what tablet are you using. There are many tablets out there that has different types of settings.

Yeah, we need to know your tablet model. My H420 has an icon in the system tray that I can click on the configure it.

The first thing I can add as advice is to practice easy maps to get used to tablet play and keep reducing your active area a little bit at a time until you can access the entire play area without having to move your hand.

I'm using the tablet you can buy from here. I guess it is the "offical" one?

I think the H420 is best at full area since it's small.

I have to move my arm if I want to hit anything not in the middle of the screen, though, and I found that killed my speed and made it impossible to spin. But hey, different playstyles.

That's a rebranded Huion H420 tablet. Did you install the drivers and restart your computer after? If so, you should have a program called tabcfg running in your system tray (bottom right corner of desktop)

If it isn't running, type that into search.

(This is all assuming you're running WIN7)

That's weird since the only times I can think of using arm movement (and that's more like shifting my entire body like I'm in a racecar and my arm is locked still.) is when I get super nervous and don't want to mess up jumps like on shotgun seniorita. (1 miss never forget)

Yeah, another thing: Does having your arm locked still help? My setup is awful right now and my pen arm elbow just hangs off the edge between my desk and my seat. Would pushing my tablet really far up my desk help much, would you suppose?

I don't know if it helps or if it's just a reaction since it typically only happens when I'm trying really hard to FC something with lots of jumps. Basically, my entire body moves with the jumps and my arm is the only thing standing still. It's weird like that. My tablet is at the bottom-of-my-ribcage height if that helps.

Here's some shitrun I did that's with cold hands as a warmup. That's my excuse for failing. No, I just suck. :^) Point being I don't see much arm movement with full area for me anyways even towards those doubles where I did my first miss.

I tend to anchor my hand on the unused portion of my tablet, that's what I'm doing, I've figured.

Thinking about it seriously now that's a really bad habit that is probably the reason I'm so inconsistent in moving to the extreme left and right smh >_>

Ty for the vid that helped me realize this I just have to push my tablet in more (and find a completely new place for my KB ._.)

My keyboard is shifted far to the left so try using the numpad or arrow keys.

I'm quite jealous of how you hold your pen. I hold mine with ALL my fingers towards the near tip of the pen (3 in front, 2 behind).
As for the question, configure as much as possible with the tablet properties until you are comfortable with it.
Yuudachi-kun
How close is "near the tip of the pen"? I'm in the middle of the buttons on my pen.

^ at the VERY tip

it doesn't matter where you hold the pen.
