It can't be moved upper nor down. Although you can make the numbers transparent so there won't be any number at all. Or press ctrl+tab (if I know right) to make the whole interface disappear.

That's unfortunate, since it's possible to move the combo counter vertically in osu!mania mode. But thanks.
