4k/7k Improvement Tips

Well, I need some help with tips for improving on mania:

1. 4k players, can you give me tips/songs/anything that can help me increase my speed, since that's my major problem. My accuracy is very good imo, my stamina....well, it's OK, but my speed sucks, I get 200 on hard songs mainly because I can't hit the note that fast. Can do Hard songs and some Insane diff songs (no more than 10 Insane songs tho), just in case.

2. 7k players, any tip to get better in general (songs to improve are also useful :D), I can do at most 3* songs, no more than that, but I wanna get all key modes from 4k-7k to the same level, and 7k is the only key mode where I can't do Hard songs (more than 3*)

Any tip is welcome and useful, but please, not the practice one, I practice everyday, just want to have something in mind other than playing songs randomly waiting to improve.

We already have a thread for this, you should have asked these questions in t/146615

Don't play autoconverts. Autoconverts do not have the same kind of patterns you will find in mania specific maps. Autoconverts are only really helpful in the first week(s), when you're still learning how to hit the right key.

Play more. Play songs you can barely handle. Use nofail if you need it. Play with random mod. Play everything you can find. Play every kind of pattern, and every kind of map.

Don't focus on maps you can SS or even S easily. Playing these will only help get more consistent when playing for accuracy, it doesn't make it any easier to pass hard maps. If you want to get better at the harder maps, you need to play them more often.

I have already read that thread, and tho it helped me A LOT (maybe more than I though), now I can't seen to progress anymore, also,. Never played autoconverts after I began playing mania songs, always playing hard songs, easier songs becomes boring for me after I can do well on them. Play like 3 hours a day, so time is not a problem either. Anyways, thanks for the help :D

your gonna have to get used to the different types of patterns and not really worry too much about increasing your speed to start with, people always recommend exstream though for specifically increasing speed which can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vy3v4tn1ebjg ... torix?dl=0

besides that you just go find peoples stepmania converts all around the place and practise what you find fun and pushes yourself to a degree, most of the dropboxes however only cater for 3 star+ and even then a lot have mostly 4/5 star+ you can check on my userpage for some of the dropboxes people have although i might be missing some

although bobbias sais dont play maps you can s easily some people struggle to play maps they cant s due to them being such an acc player like they literally cant force themself to play a map with bad acc if you are like that it probably wont go away but with some effort you can reduce that and playing multi helps mostly to take care of this

i hope this helps although exstream may be a bit too hard for where you are, im not sure, if it is you just have to practise a bit and get to that point with mania songs really and it will come over time and effort

Ok, I'll try Exstream, I even play songs I can't pass (passed Bangin' Burst Advanced by playing it over and over again). Anyways, thx for the help :D
