honestly very difficult to find fault on this map, but I find some mistakes like 01:53:825 (2) - the distance is not in accordance with 01:54:075 (4)
and also please improved there is some distance off the line, example 05:01:700 (3)

Hullo, here is my (late) mod :D


  • General

  1. The current BG file is 1081x768, please change it to 1024x768.
  2. Increase the Audio LeadIn to 2000ms. To fix this you go to the osu. file and look for audio leadin and write it down 2000 and that's it.


  • EDITED

  1. The stack leniency is set to 0.2, which is below the recommended of 0.3. Please make it 0.3, the effect will be the same though.
  2. 00:58:200 (3,6) - This overlap seems unintentional. Either stack them or move 00:58:575 (6) more left.
  3. 01:33:700 (1) - This touches the health bar. Lower 01:33:700 (1,2) both of them.
  4. 01:36:700 (1,2) - The spacing between those is completely different than 01:34:700 (1,2) and they are all 3/4 sliders, which is really confusing. Maybe lower the spacing a little bit?
  5. Same with 01:38:700 (1,2)
  6. 02:58:575 (2,3) - This looks kinda ugly. Maybe move 02:58:575 (2) up and left so that 02:58:700 (3) blankets it? Or change the shape of 02:58:700 (3) idk.
  7. 03:24:700 (3) - Move a little down for perfect blanket.
  8. 03:55:950 (7,1) - These two are nearly touching. Move or curve 03:56:200 (1) a little up.
  9. 05:01:950 (5) - Add NC, since it's the last note?

Toumei Elegy has sections with a lot of continuous huge jumps. I played this map, and it felt totally readable for me. People really should learn not only speed, but reading too.
Though I can't hear the sounds well due to broken left speaker, I want to help you somehow even if I can't bubble due to that.
But if this map won't get bubbled/qualified till I get working headphones, I'll come to icon it. But don't expect much, probably I won't get ones till the end of February.

Your very first section, 00:01:711 this one, is totally off. I can't distinguish the right timing here, so just find someone who's good at timing and change it.
01:16:700 - this place doesn't need the BPM change, i can hear 240 bpm there, speed of upbeats and downbeats is same to other places, so just delete this section and 02:07:200 - this one, since it won't change anything, and just use 0.75 greenline here 01:59:200
Though I don't really understand why you used 120 BPM sections in few calm places and left 03:06:200 - this one with 240, when actually it's 120. Use a 120 BPM section here for consistency too, and use 240 BPM section 03:38:200 here.
And probably using a short 120 BPM section 02:32:200 here for consistency will be good too, with starting 240 BPM again 02:34:200 on this place.
Also your hitsounds have some issues, soft-hitclap2 had a 4ms delay, and both silent soft-sliderslides didn't use the right 44-bytes blank wav files, which should be used as it mentioned in ranking criteria.   1. 01:07:700 (1,2) - Visually, they are not farther than previous patterns, but when i was playing this pattern, it was surprising and not really comfortable to play (as you can see i thought the sliderstart was at 123|338. It could be better if you reduce the distance between these sliders.
  2. 01:27:700 (1,2) - The distance between them may be too large, due to previous pattern you don't really expect a 1/4 gap between them, the SV is slow and it's not really intuitive to play, there should be less distance between 01:27:700 (1,2) -
  3. 01:29:700 (1) - Why this kick slider ? there is nothing really audible on 1/4 ticks
  4. 01:54:700 (1,2,3,4) - This kind of pattern is really difficult to aim, only the approach rate helps the player, nothing more, it's just because of the low distance between 01:54:700 (1,2) - and the low distance here too 01:55:200 (3,4) - that are both difficult to play due to the high jump between 01:55:075 (2,3) - . This pattern is like antijump - jump - antijump, which is a little difficult to play and aim, and may be not comfortable to play. Consider remaking this pattern, for a better playability.
  5. 01:57:575 (1,2) - There should be more distance between them, there is almost 95% of jumps in the whole map, and having a low spacing between a slider and a circle, when the part is intense, doesn't really make sense.
  6. 02:21:950 (5,6,1) - There are too much spacing change in this pattern, especially for this kind of triangle, and the player could miss easily if he cares about distance, when you have a lot of circles without the same distance between them, it is easier to miss and not comfortable to play, it should be better if there is the same distance between 02:21:950 (5,6,1) -
  7. 04:59:200 (1,2,3) - This kind of pattern should really be avoided, visually, the spacing between 04:59:200 (1,2) - and 04:59:450 (2,3) - is a little different, just a little, but the gap between them is different, and the player could play 04:59:450 (2,3) - as 1/4 when it's not, and when it's just 1/2. And the other way around concerning 04:59:200 (1,2) - .
  8. 05:00:200 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - In my opinion, this is overdone, and i really doubt if it will pass the ranking process, 1/4 240BPM is hell for players, there is nothing more powerful than other kiai parts on this song, which allows you to do something like this.

It's really offensive when people go like "oh you'd better learn how to read", since it's assuming that I commented on the AR because I had a difficult time reading that AR. You're wrong. I can read it just fine; I can probably read better than you can. I commented on it because a higher AR might benefit the map itself not because I can't read.

Sorry if my post was somehow offensive to you, Broccoly. Though I didn't mean that you should learn to read, I meant people that complained about AR on Toumey Elegy.
Also, this map rarely has more jumps than ~5 in a row, jumps are mixed with sliders well, while Toumey Elegy has that part with like ~30 continuous fullscreen jumps, which are definitely harder to read with slower AR.

  1. 01:07:700 (1,2) - Visually, they are not farther than previous patterns, but when i was playing this pattern, it was surprising and not really comfortable to play (as you can see i thought the sliderstart was at 123|338. It could be better if you reduce the distance between these sliders.

This pattern is like antijump - jump - antijump, which is a little difficult to play and aim, and may be not comfortable to play. Consider remaking this pattern, for a better playability.

And the other way around concerning 04:59:200 (1,2) - .

This is a really good hard map.The only things I can find for this is that 00:10:044 (6) could have a finish.The only problem with that is it's too loud,so I would also add a timing point that softens the finish,but I think that could be added.Also,00:20:700 (1) could be moved up a bit to differentiate it with the stream.
That's it though.No real big problems I could find.Good luck with rank! :)

00:20:700 (1) - Unless the player can't differentiate between 1/4 and 1/1 Approach Circle, This is enough readable for the others.

00:14:575 (6) - move this note up to make a star. It looks better this way
01:07:512 (4,5) - Not really a problem but if this was stacked I think it would look better
01:11:450 (5,6) - the spacing here seems too big.
03:59:387 (2,3,4) - spacing too big ;w;

  3. 01:13:825 (1,3) - I kept messing up here because its so hard to catch this 180 degree angle change. 01:14:200 (3) - stack this with 01:13:325 (4) - and it flows a lot better imo.
  4. 01:27:700 (1,2) - I'd rather you make the spacing even. When they are only touching by slider-border it looks kinda bad xP> Also you dont use these 1/4 jumps elsewhere in this section (the next 5 note stream is stacked) so this feels out of place.
  5. 01:56:950 (1) - Unnecessary NC i think.
  6. 02:02:700 (7) - I would make this two circles instead since the drum hit on 02:02:825 - sounds really different from the head. It feels like it deserves its own click xD.
