The game is quite popular in my computer class. The game looked fun and interesting, and therefore I was interested in trying it out as well. Also I had some previous experience from rhythm games like Donkey Konga, so this one naturally caught my eye too.
A person speaked of Osu! In a chat, I saw some videos of it and I tried ♥

I was CS1.6 player. My normal score on dust_2 was 80/7. One friend on TS says it must be boring for me, and it was true. CS1.6 after 2 years was boring.
I stop playing CS1.6, but I started reading manga (good) and watching anime (mistake) and I missing playing games. So i googled something as "immposible game" and I find osu. It was fucking hard at start, but I enjoy this game. I start playing more and more and train my skill. After one year of playing I still enjoy this game and I want be better

Was browsing Twitch streams and this game popped up as #24 on the browser list with big sign titled osu! rythm game! As someone who loved guitar hero and DDR I had to see what it was on about and I fell in love with what I saw. One day I'll be good enough to play as good as most of those streamers!

Was watching a famous LoL pro player (can't remember who) play osu! while the servers were down in a stream. It looked, fun, so I decided to give it a try.

i was surfing the youtubez as usual (looking for touhou songs from bands like demetori, and such)

I was watching Aniratak play League of Legends when he opened up osu! while waiting for his queue to pop. It looked really fun
Around 10 months ago when I joined I saw this random osu video on some old Minecraft/League channel I used to watch. Thought it was a pretty interesting game. Now I basically play every day xD

I joined this skype call with like 50 different people my friend invited me to, some guy started screaming, I JUST REKT (something i honestly couldnt understand him) and everyone asks what he is on and then posts a link to this map
I frequent GameFAQs, and back when I used to play League, some guy made a topic on the League board telling people that playing osu made you better at playing league. I didn't particularly care about getting better at league (In fact I quit the next week) but I've always loved rhythm games.
I then ended up seeing someone playing that Don't Stop Me Now map and got really interested in EBA.
Then I started playing osu! a lot and now I'm very happy with my progress.
