My computer got fried. If I were to guess, I'd say the motherboard finally had it (3 years under bad air circulation will do that), and since the dang thing is so old, I can't find a replacement that would fit in my computer (correct processor slot, agp slot, power slot, ect).

So I'm resorting to my linux-based laptop for now, and for the foreseeable future. Maybe if I can get an external hard drive case, I will eventually manage to recover my old stuff, but the key issue here is money, hence why I'm not going to bother fixing my desktop if I'll have to get a new graphics card, processor, and motherboard.

Anyway, it was great while it lasted, I may pop in now and again, but my 31st player ranking days are over for now. Maybe if I see some support on the platforms I have available to me (DS or Linux) I could come back (nudge nudge), but I am loathe to spend any considerable amount of money until I am certain of my financial stability once I move to Japan, a good 6 months away.

Peace,

Good luck with the money situation! Make sure to show your face at the forums, even if you aren't playing along with us. I'll keep you drooling with new features and updates.

Not on this tiny 4gb ssd (I'm using an eeepc)

Plus, I really want to become somewhat proficient with Linux, and since it would take all this money and effort to get Windows rolling again, I might as well take advantage of the situation and learn by necessity. :)
