I think that levels is a very neat feature in every game, but sadly it's completely outdated and is completely irrelevant to nearly everything.
So I'm proposing that the current "levels" feature to be completely revamped, or to add another alternative.
This alternative would work like the "score level", but instead of gaining score to get levels, exp is gained relative to the pp awarded. With a bunch of pretty numbers and confusing algorithms, I think we could come up with a much more innovative use for levels and I think this would make gaining levels MUCH more awarding.
Exp per level should also be revamped due to the ridiculous amount of exp required to level at 100+
e.g. the exp will be harder to farm than the old exp, by rewarding very little exp to low pp plays from high pp users. Gaining levels will give a more sense of achievement, reward lots of exp to players that scored relatively high pp
