In multiplayer rooms, there could a notification that the host is in the Song Select screen. Maybe if "[Selecting Song]" appeared next to the host's name or text appears above the song panel saying "Selecting Songs".

This would be extremely helpful. I've had people trying to talk to me, but I couldn't talk to them because I was selecting the next song.
Also, it would be nice if this was shown on the menu when choosing a multiplayer room. I've often ran into rooms with a song that I have only to have the song suddenly change on me right as I get in.

It'd definitely help if something like this were to be here, since now users would actually know why there was a long wait for many indecisive hosts.

Now i think of it your right, but isnt there a way to work around that? like clicking the part of the chat to chat there and clicking the part of the song list to use the search.CDFA wrote:

I agree too. Sometimes it's very hard to tell if host is just afk and this uses playtime alot.

Just a name change such as [Selecting] would be great

I think it makes sense to have the indicator on the map button rather than the host.

+1 Support. I've always encountered hosts that you couldn't tell whether they are doing other things or they're having a hard time choosing a good map to play.
This also gets my full support. Of course, I have awesome patience, so it's not that bothersome to me. :p

On another note, I am an idiot who occasionally does not notice when Host has been passed to me (I'm sure I'm not the only one), and so when the top of the screen goes from "You are a player" to "You are the host," I figure it should flash a few times to catch the new host's attention.

I would love this. I find it irritating when a host chooses a song and then decides to change it leaving you with a map you didn't really need.

I support this. Although, I believe it isn't that hard to just use the chat and notify the other players when changing the current beatmap :/

I doubt anyone leaves the songs list every few seconds while deciding on a song just to check for new players and inform them of the upcoming map switch~
