02:29:108 (4) - Weird positioning with the created symmetry with previous 3 beats (if symmetry was intentional, if so then move 02:25:108 (1) - to x:176 and maybe 02:29:108 (4) - to x:256 y:256)
02:49:679 (2) - lower to y:336 to match previous slider

-> I removed the spinner (You mean the spinner right?) and added a slider for the string at 02:04:537 (1) - instead. The idea was that the spinner was supposed to be a kind of "bulid up" after the break, but i think i'm going to go with < break | slider (string part) | break > instead!

-> Fixed it simmilar to the Easy diff except i kept a much shorter spinner here, just as the second break is about to end. I still think it should be some kind of short "build up" here before the break ends.
02:46:537 (4) - Move to y:272 for symmetry with previous 3 beats. Might have to move 02:46:822 (5) - to x:144 y:192 for spacing then.

02:46:822 (5) - was moved to x:160 y:176 instead (i think that's a better pattern).

Hard:
02:55:537 (4) - Looks a little out of place maybe move it and 02:55:679 (5) - to x:144
-> Fixed! (I moved them to x:144 y:272 and made them symmetric with the other pair)

I also remapped the break with the spinner at 02:10:251 (1) - similar to how i changed it in easy and normal.

I was looking at the colours. I'm not fussed about what the colours are when I play but it's nice to have the colours of parts of the background. It's a suggestion but have a look at this:

There wasn't many things to correct since you had another person mod it, but.
02:12:537 - A slider feels like it should be here and ending here 02:13:679 - (May edit length accordingly).

03:10:822 (1) - Remove this beat and replace it with a slider until 03:13:108 - It fits nicely.

Alright here comes the fun part, the NC's. I recommend saving before doing this because you may disagree.
Ok. Press CTRL+A then tap Q twice. This selects all of the beats and removes all NC's. 8-) Add a new NC to each of these :P

Hi, from the Faded Modding Queue~

This mapset needs a lot of work imo, so I'll tell you the general things you should keep in mind if you want it to improve.

If you don't understand something in this post, then feel free to PM me ingame, I'll gladly clear things up ^^

[General]
  1. The offset seems too early, you should try 20,579 instead. A bad offset can make the map very difficult to play and get good accuracy on, since that's the value that syncs the timeline and the music together. Don't forget to resnap every note and kiai after making this change. (Resnap all the notes quickly by selecting "Resnap All Notes" under the grey timing tab.)
[Easy]
  1. The biggest problem here is your flow and patterns, patterns like 00:49:150 (1,2,3) - , 01:32:007 (2,3) - and 03:08:007 (3,4) - don't particularly flow well because the cursor has to make a sudden turn after pressing the note, which plays poorly and jagged. For the best flow, a sliders path should always be in the same direction as the cursor's movement on easy diffs, because beginners don't snap to notes like we do, they just move their cursor towards the next note; if anything is out of place flow-wise, then they will have issues. Therefore, I suggest you look over these and fix them. I've also seen many examples of 90° flow in places, where although it flows ok, it can be very boring if arranged like how 00:23:436 (3,4) - or 01:23:436 (4,5,6) - is arranged. This is because the 90° flow is untitled, which looks and plays boring due to how... well basic it is.
  2. Since this is an easy diff, your spacing must be perfectly consistent at all times. For a beginner, they're still getting the hang of moving to the notes and hitting, by having a constant distance snap though, it will prevent confusion and allow their muscle memory to develop. I've noticed that the distance snap that you've used here tends to fluctuate between 0.90 and 1.10. Although this seems unnoticeable at times, it is still very important to keep it at a constant 1.00. I'm going to point out these two notes, 01:38:864 (4,5) - . These are bad because they are not consistent with the distance snap in any way, so a beginner who has never played the map before will likely mistake this for a 1.00x.
[Normal]
  1. This difficulty shares many of the same problems as easy has, for example; you cannot have your spacing fluctuating from 0.90 to 1.10. This suggestion in particular is a lot more noticible on normal than it is on east because we have patterns like 00:22:864 (2,3,4,1) - or 01:15:436 (2,3,4) - . This in incredibly inconsistent, so you should make sure every note is at around 1.00x spacing.
  2. I've noticed that many of the blankets in this difficulty are poorly done. In case you don't know, blankets are patterns where a hit circle or slider end is parallel to a slider trail going round it. Here are a few examples so you can have more of a general idea:
    There were two types of blankets in that last image ^^
    I've noticed some poorly done blankets throughout this difficulty, such as 00:50:007 (4,5) - or 00:52:293 (4,5) - for example. You know this is bad because the circle is not parallel to the edge of the slider track, causing it to look odd and out of place. Remember, blankets are used to make a pattern look nicer, but if the blanket is poorly done, then it will only end up looking worse. Aside from the two bad blankets that I spotted, I would consider using blankets more frequently, because they are an extremely common mapping technique, and most modern mapping uses them to make a lot of their patterns.
  3. I should also mention that this difficulty can get inconsistent in some parts. If something is inconsistent, then that means that there has been a change in how the map plays or sounds while the music sounds exactly the same. This can be related to hitsounds, rhythm, or comboing. I've noticed that one of the patterns right after the kiais are inconsistent. I'll show you, in the first kiai we have a pretty simple one beat spaced pattern, which is 01:23:436 (1,2,3,4) - . In the second kiai however, the pattern 02:54:864 (1,2,3,4,5) - uses 1/2 to go with the music. Naturally it is harder, and I think that's what you were aiming for; to make it harder at the end. However, this defeats the purpose of osu! being a rhythm game if the music is exactly the same. If the music doesn't change, then why should the rhythm of the notes?
[Hard]
  1. I've noticed that this difficulty contains many unsightly overlaps. In most cases, overlaps are only good when purposely done to indicate a 1/4 or 1/2. But if entire sliders are covered up, even for a short while, it can look pretty messy. Examples of such overlaps I've found would include 00:23:436 (6,8) - or 02:20:579 (1,4) -
  2. 01:34:864 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Like I said above, these blankets are bad because although they look fine in the editor, (despite feeling cramped) stacking leniency comes into play and moves them, meaning that in the actual play mode, it'll look odd, so I suggest moving them further out a bit.

    There isn't too much to say about this difficulty because most of the stuff I said in the previous difficulties also applies to this difficulty.
So yeah, if you can get these glaring issues out of the way then I'm sure this map will be a lot better than it is in it's current state. As I've said firstly in this mod, the most significant issues throughout all difficulties is your flow and aesthetics. Despite that though, you've handled the song's rhythm surprisingly well. Here are a few good guides you should read to help you get a further understanding:

I had another modder talking about that it felt off and now it does indeed feel much better.
I haven't commented so much on your suggestions since there's no real reason to do so. I understand and agree with what you are saying but since they are general things/advices and not specific errors i would just end up writing "I see, i will keep that in mind as i go through the beatmap" on every one... ^^

Blankets is when you "fold" sliders around other objects, like hitcircles or other objects (Like how a real blanket works ^^). Thanks!

I think i started waaay to soon with mapping! ^^

When i first made this beatmap set i didn't even know what a "blanket" or "flow" was (or how to make a reverse-slider), but as I started looking at other maps more closely, started getting mods and modding other maps, i started to feel that there was a lot of things that needed to be changed in this beatmap and now i think i got what i needed.

So i am currently in the process of going thougth each beatmap and remap most of it while following your advices, the guides you linked and the exprinece i've gained since i first mapped this!

EDIT (17-01-2015): I've now finished my remapping and I ended up changing quite a lot on all the diffs but the result turned out pretty good i think (i hope).

Easy

Firstly hit Crtl + Shift + A and tick the box next to refresh. Fix these issues (Easy should not have any jumps or different distance snaps)
00:28:578 - This is just an opinion of mine but this would seem better for me ( Drag the start of the break to 00:30:864 )


00:52:579 - remove this note as the next part of the song with the 2 sliders needs a bit more time for beginners
00:58:293 - 01:00:579 - i hate to say and spoil such nice sliders but it's best to reduce both these sliders by 1 white point for easier playing


01:30:293 - 01:32:579 - These should be symmetric/mirrored
01:34:864 - 01:37:150 - ^ (But i recommend using the 01:37:150 shape for both instead)
01:41:721 - I would recommend using a big slider here instead of one note to fill up the gap a little more like this. (use hitsounds too of your choice)


01:47:436 - 01:52:007 - These two circle notes overlap with the sliders next to them. Potentially it might be okay as it looks quite good but overlapping can be seen as bad most times

02:25:150 - 02:27:436 - Should be symmetric/mirrored
02:34:293 - Drag the start of break to this point. (There are also 3 breaks so consider removing this break and adding more notes)
02:50:293 - Too hard for easy and the NC is weird. Try something like this


03:01:721 - 03:04:007 - Should be symmetric/mirrored

01:47:436 - 01:52:007 - These two circle notes overlap with the sliders next to them. Potentially it might be okay as it looks quite good but overlapping can be seen as bad most times It think the symmetry and patterns wins over the overlaps so i'm going to leave it unchanged for now...

02:25:150 - 02:27:436 - Should be symmetric/mirrored Fixed.
02:34:293 - Drag the start of break to this point. (There are also 3 breaks so consider removing this break and adding more notes) Fixed. I will consider it. I'll se if i can make somthing that works...

  1. Before you make your mod. Take a look at the maps earlier mods and se how they do it.
  2. Point out (somewhat) anything strange or out of order that comes to mind. If you noticed it, perhaps it's not as good as it could be...
  3. Also check out this page: https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Modding (if you haven't already ^^)

■ 00:23:150 (4,5) - Having these 2 touch looks kinda ugly. How about placing them similar to how 00:21:721 (1,2) - works?
■ 00:25:721 (4) - It's unlikely that people will read this as a 1/2 without messing up before. This looks like a 1/1. Placing it around 344/172 might be the best (and safe) call for it.
■ 00:56:436 (2,3) - Try to avoid pixel-touches like that. Looks kinda ugly :v Moving it by a few pixels doesnt change anything gameplaywise, but makes it look much better
■ 01:00:007 (1,2,3) - You want to move this stack down by 2x4 pixel so that the automatic ingame stacking doesnt do this:

You might want to work on your visuals and aesthetics, but technically nothing's wrong.

■ 00:50:864 (1,2) - 00:53:150 (1) - I dont think having these single object combos makes too much sense. Just remove them to be more consistent.
■ 01:31:436 (2,3,1) - This might be confusing to read, as this big Slider siddenly connects to the object you were just playing. I'd say that it's better if you make the long Slider as visible as possible, not stacking two ends together
■ 01:43:436 (2,3) - This is also too difficult to read. The player will most likely think that the Slider starts on 2 and not on 3. Either unstack 2 from the Sliderend or move 3 somewhere else
■ 01:44:007 (3) - NC

■ 02:14:007 (1) - Same Spinner object ms bullshit that everyone has to follow now

Fixed. Yeah, that blanket was a bit poorly done.

I'd say that it's better if you make the long Slider as visible as possible, not stacking two ends together Fixed. I changed some of the sliders and the layout so that this does not happen.
■ 01:43:436 (2,3) - This is also too difficult to read. The player will most likely think that the Slider starts on 2 and not on 3. Either unstack 2 from the Sliderend or move 3 somewhere else Fixed, but i did it in another way, that i think is a bit easier to follow.
■ 01:44:007 (3) - NC Fixed.
01:52:007 (2) - remove Fixed. However, i mapped it out instead, to fill the gap.
■ 02:14:007 (1) - Same Spinner object ms bullshit that everyone has to follow now Fixed.
■ 02:52:293 (1) - remove NC Fixed.
■ 02:55:436 (3,4) - I'd unstack theseFixed. Yeah, i moved them around a bit too so that they would all fit unstacked.

01:05:150 - (1) I don't like the way this slider flows to the combo 2 circle, since 2 and 3 continue as a semi-circle I'd suggest re-angling this slider way up to match the semi-circle direction it goes here

Nice, I'm not going to even mod this cause I'd recommend keeping it as is.

HARD

Miscellaneous - Unsure about the need to use cs 4.3 here, move it down to just 4

00:49:721 - (3) This slider should probably been moved up and to the right to put it in line with combo 1 and 2.

00:50:579 - (5) This slider should be inverted over x-axis, Try making it curve downwards to start instead of up.

01:00:150 - (2) I don't Agree with these first two circles stacking, I'd suggest moving the combo 2 circle in between 1 and 3

01:18:864 - (1-4) For the sake of your maps flow try moving this entire combo up a few grid ticks, but don't change the pattern itself make sure you move up all 4 notes evenly.

01:26:150 - (2) This circle is offset for no reason, stack it on top of the slider head

01:35:150 - (2) try moving this slider right so that the tail aims straight at the next slider head

02:48:436 - (2) This circle should be moved downwards and right of where it is now.

And that's everything, Real nice Easy/Normal, and the Hard just need a little clean-up, nothing major. GJ and GL getting this ranked :D

  1. Remove youtube from tags because it doesn't really make sense. Firstly, it was firstly uploaded to nicovideo.jp, however, if we would put 'youtube' or 'nicovideo' or just something else, it would be on everymap. It doesn't make sense, you will find most song from osu! on youtube, so that source is quite obvious, same logic as adding 'song' to tags, I hope you know what I mean.
    Please, don't abuse tags. poop really doesn't stay for a tag. I know you might describe this MAD as a 'poop', but please, don't use profanity in tags, keep them related only to the source.
  2. I would add 'majutsu index' to tags, so if someone looks for "To Aru Majutsu no Index", he will find what he wanted. You know, some of videos, though not many but still, were from To Aru Majutsu no Index, so why should it be just kicked off.
  3. For Normal and Hard - Put end of second kiai time on 03:10:864, because it is more sensible to the song and because you are inconsistent in each diff, which shouldn't be if there is really special reason, which however isn't visible there.
  4. I think drum hitsounds fit more than normal, it currently sounds a bit loud and the claps don't really fit any part of song, so use some nice drum combination or use just custom hitsounds.
  5. I highly recommend CS 3.5 on normal and CS 3 on Easy to make a consistent gap between difficulties. Also, below 3 CS, it is more for slow and very easy maps, but it doesn't really fit current difficulty, as it is a bit harder than slow easy maps.

Quite fun map, I think parts like 00:30:864 - and 02:34:293 - might have been mapped because it actually is quite significant, while you put just a pause over it, but never mind. Overally, if I consider you are a newbie, you have chances for a rank, shapes and patterns are okay, but most likely because you are new in mapping, your hitsounds are a bit out of place and not really fitting. You might take a look at some maps from... let's say Sieg or even though it's naive, at my map, currently this: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/289861 You might notice we put hitsounds how they really are in a song or similar and the choice of custom hitsounds is also really fitting with the song, get a bit inspiration and you might maybe improve the hitsounds on this map. Mostly you put it on good place, but you were sometimes overusing and sometimes offusing them and with that clap sound, it just sounds really weird. Just try to improve this a bit and I think you have no problem.

The reason why i paused over those part was because it was a bit to flashy/intense for me to map when i started mapping this.
As for the hitsounds, when i started mapping this, i wanted to keep things simple and limited so i said to myself that i wasn't going to use any extra/custom things, but now that i've seen how much it's used and how nice it is, i might actually, see if i can get some for it that fits better!

Overall:
Technically you have to put an 18+ tag because of language in the song's title. Even if there's nothing 18+, someone will get mad over it.

The hardest diff:
Fix your unsnapped notes. If it's intentional, then please do not do that. It's unrankable regardless, but most rhythm doesn't go that in depth.
00:21:721 (1,2) - Ok so nite placement here is really bad. If you're going to place notes, you want to make them as not jerky as possible. And right now I have to jerk awkwardly southwest to hit the next note, and it makes me sad.
00:28:293 (5,6) - ok can you do this jump like
00:29:436 (2,3,4) - Generally if you want to have sped-up sliders, you're going to want to have NCs for that so people can read them. Otherwise it's literally impossible
00:32:864 (7) - I feel like this is a mistake because this placement is just like 0/10 no good. Generally, when you map, you're going to NOT want overlaps on top of hitcircles/slider beginnings
00:34:436 (1,1,1,1) - So the passage is going chromatically down, but you're sort of like bell-curving the sliders, which doesn't make much sense. Also, having it in a line, while it may LOOK creative, doesn't play well at all
00:36:007 (6) - But why this jump? why
00:54:007 (5) - never do this ever again

Ok instaed of me making a long mod post pointing out every issue, I'm going to go ahead and list the general complaints I have with the map

1) Regardless of the difficulty you are making, spacing is important. It's important to have a reference point of what "home plate" is. Even with really jumpy maps, there is a sense of consistency with how notes are being presented. You're not just going to place notes completely at random. Even if people don't really use Distance Snap, they still keep their patterns a relatively similar distance snap. Right now, the notes seem placed at random
2) Slider velocity changes are dumb. I hate how the new trend is to just change slider velocities all the time. It's stupid. But regardless of my personal opinions, your slider velocity changes really don't flow all that well. Firstly, most sliderspeed changes are indicated by a new combo, so the player is aware of something new happening. Maps that use REALLY GOOD sliderspeed changes often will have one color dedicated for fast sliders. But they should be planned out and easy to read. A lot of times, they just seem random. While I see why they sometimes fit in the music, it's still not easily readable, and people that don't know the song will end up being very confused.
3) Patterns are important. Even I don't really always map with patterns, but I generally make sure things are clear and have direction. A lot of times I'm not really sure where I'm throwing my mouse, or what motivation you have for placing the notes. You don't really to have a whole lot of thought when placing patterns, but they should correlate with the music and should be easily readable and enjoyable. Random note placement is nevre good.
4) Hitsounds are fun. Make sure they correlate with the drums, and make sure they're consistent. Claps on the 1st and 3rd small white tick tend to work really good.

Those are the main general points I want to bring out. I'm sorry that this is a short mod and that I haven't gotten to the other diffs yet, but I'd like you to look at the map and look at the fundamentals of mapping that are important to creating a successful beatmap. If I sit here and list every problem, it wouldn't be helpful, as you're not understanding the foundation of what makes a solid map solid, and therefore there's no understanding of why changes are being made, just changing, which is no good.

Even so, I have to tell you that I do fully understand every single Point you made (maybe not as much with SV, but still), but I have to regretfully tell you:
I was (as of recently) fully aware of all these issues, and am currently remapping my GDs. So, your mod considering wrong patterns with fixed times might not be that useful to me (except i keep parts of the old Diff).
Even tho, I am really thankful for your mod, and will keep the points you wrote down in mind while remapping (in 1 week, because Im enjoying my vacation atm)

So, after all Kudosu for Reditum, its really appreciated !
