First off, if this is an actual thing, then I apologize. But anyway, here's my idea.

Individual awards for players. At the end of each year, players will win awards such as 'MVP' award that would go to the most valuable player in the osu! World Cup or 'Most Consistent' for that year. I think some sort of award ceremony in the form of a forum post would be really cool.

I think this will be better handled as part of each tournament/competition/charts, because judges and measurable metric will be required to determine the winner of any kind of "award."

So in that sense it's already a "thing," you just need to convince the hosts of the tournament to include it. You can also start hosting your own tournament/competitions if it not yet exists ;)
