[resolved] [confirmed] Select Skin Dropdown Menu not update after new skin is added

Problem Details:
The select skin dropdown menu does not update after a new skin is imported.
I have to restart osu to be able to see and select the new skin.


Original title: Unable to preview skin(can't access skin selection screen)
Problem Details:
Previously there is a button "Select Skin " that you can preview and select skin, but now the button is replaced by a dropdown menu, which do not provide way to preview the skin before selecting it.
The previous skin selection screen can only be access by importing a new skin.

There is no obvious way to access the original skin selection screen.

Thank you for your quick reply, but is there a reason for doing so?
It becomes very inconvenient when I want to change my skin.
The skin selection screen can actually still be displayed when I import a .osk, so the code is actually still there.
Will there be a new method to preview skins?

BTW, it seems that the dropdown menu won't update when a new skin is added. I have to restart osu to be able to see the new skin.

These could be considered bugs.

These could be considered bugs.
Should I start a new bug report for these bugs?

You could probably recycle this thread by listing the bugs in the OP and updating the title. The preview screen will be out of commission for the time being. It will probably return.

I can confirm this. And even worse, when you add a skin by using a osk file it'll be selected, but the menu will still say you are using the skin you had before.

Steps to reproduce :
1 - Open osu!
2 - Download a skin in osk format and import it
3 - Quit the (old) skin preview screen
4 - Look int the new skin selectios thing, you'll see that the name selected will be the one of your old skin and the name of the one just added don't appear.
If clicking on you skin name it'll switch back to it, and the name of the new skin will still not appear.

Issue(s) in this thread have been addressed by the following changes:
  1. Fix skin selection not reloading when a new skin is imported. (TheVileOne)
The changes will be applied to builds newer than b20151117.1cuttingedge.

Please follow up in this thread if you believe more work needs to be done to fix the mentioned issues. If they have not yet been resolved, please provide any new details that may have arisen after this build.
