I think this is important enough to be shown next to the maps AR, CS, HP and those stuff, in song select.

Many times I get frustrated with the mapping on a song and then i have to go to the maps beatmap page to check when it was ranked. Had I known it was mapped during 2007-2010 or 2014 I would have set my expectations already low enough to save my nerves.

While your at it allow maps to be grouped, sorted and filtered by date ranked aswell. Thanks

I used the word ranked ITT but i want same for approved maps aswell.

That's a good idea. I often open beatmap webpages from the game to see when it was ranked and deduce the mapping style I may deal with/I dealt with.

Ontopic: I think it would cause too many prejudices.. Most people wouldn't play old maps anymore which would be kinda sad ;w; But yeah, might be useful.

Well, on one hand it's not a bad idea as it could make the way to get to the date it was ranked faster.
But as Desp already said it would give many people predjudices and make them not even try to play it. Like this maybe some of the great older maps lose some recognization and that would be pretty sad imo.

Some old ar7 insane maps are great for practice

Generally if you wanna practice weird patterns you go look for old maps

I dont know whats wrong with this. If a person thinks that maps from a certain date are bad why not give him the (assisted) right to have prejudice. You could find the good ones anyway by asking from old timers or treasure hunters.

Beatmaps dont have feelings why would you care. This is like the sama shit as when people were against allowing 1st play background dim, skin disablation and storyboard removing
