Round 1 of the NewMAT: Results

After extensive voting by members of both the BAT and the MAT, the results are finally in for who makes it into the MAT from the first ever round of applications..

And the new members of the MAT are (in no particular order):

DJPop, rust45, NoHItter, Breeze, MarioBros777, Sushi971, Real1, fartownik, Teara and VanMoNky!

I'd like to thank everybody who applied for their interest in the position, and for those who were not accepted this round - please feel free to apply again in the next round of applications, which should be in three weeks or so.

Congratulations to everyone.

Especially those who didn't make it. It is an experience for you, think about why you didn't get chosen and build up from there. Surely, you will achieve what you want.

Personally, I don't believe in goal setting.

Congratulations to all the new MATs!

For everyone that did not make it, don't worry. The next opportunity is coming up soon. I advise you just mod a few more times and get a little more experience in the next few weeks and you'll be ready for the next MAT tryout.

Rust45? Oh crap... But congrats to everyone who won. I'm actually glad there are new mods. I splashed a cup of water on Larto yesterday and he started to rust. :) Good luck to all but one of the new MATs! ;)

To answer rust's question. I initially did not know that there were MAT applications and was kinda...skeptical...

Until this happened.

I didn't even know that there were applications for MAT until Larto posted that link. I used that as sort of a referral that a BAT suggested me to be part of the MAT and I just like writing applications...

And if anyone wants to know, I wrote a 311 word statement. I was aiming for 700 but couldn't think of anything else. :(

I guess MATs are a disposable team and every new applications some will just get kicked out and someone else would replace them etc.
