Help me filter most maps for the sake of young users in osu!

Alright. Just to bring everyone up to speed, please go to this post request t/250358.

So I created a document for such here and a form set up so if you wish to report a map, I can just throw more maps into the document.

The main reason I wanted to do this is to avoid minors talking to their parents on "Why am I playing with a background of a girl in panties" or "Why are you listening to a song with profanity in it?" Hopefully with this, we can avoid this huge mess.

I use my common sense as my main guideline.
Just ask yourself one question : "Is it okay for my 9yo nephew to watch this ?"

(anyway it's mostly about explicit lyrics (sexuality, violence, drugs/alcohol related songs), questionnable background or video (blatant pantyshot, suggestive poses or w/e) etc...

Fully supporting this, I might try to help you in a few hours.

Honestly the line should be drawn at blatantly sexually explicit lyrics (Teach the world to fap, 6 in a row) and any fairly suggestive video content. Stuff that is already on the list such as This Love, I Kissed a Girl, I'm not justin bieber bitch, Dem Na Like Me are actually suitable for daytime MTV and the likes.

Minor swearing and "kissing a girl, and liking it" should not be filtered. Stuff such as sucking dicks (Stamper - 6 in a row) and Adult's Toy, sure, whatever. But this is already going overboard.

I agree here. I submitted one obvious song but I'm not sure about what else I should submit because I don't know what counts as questionable.

This might just be my opinion, but some general guidelines of what should and should not be considered.

eyy lmao
Excessive swearing: repetitive use of Fuck, Shit and the likes. Do not include songs with minor instances of swearing. Don't go overboard.

Sexually explicit lyrics relating to sexual acts, crude comments about reproductive organs (this one should be obvious) Kissing a girl and liking it is not sexually explicit.

Backgrounds depicting people in provocative poses or scantily clad, drawn or not. Especially depictions of minors (looking at you backgrounds of flandre scarlet with no clothes on). Probably groping falls under this, too.

There's a lot more and I know that was fairly broad, but it should give you some idea if it's worth adding or not. I really don't like that people are doing this. It's going to be like people who hunt for incorrect titles and insist on people using bad titles because some CD cover says so.

If we're going by the background image, i think we could safely use the guidelines used in sites like the -chan and -booru's. Just browse their questionable rating for a while and you should have an general idea.

As for lyrics... im not sure where to draw the line, a lot of music (expecially in rap as example) is about sex/drugs and or contains a lot of swearing yet is acceptable for radio/MTV during the day.

Seeing Lach asked me to make some choices with the document, I did some editations. Do know some of them which Lach has listed I have not changed because seriously this isn't MTV. This is osu! which is pretty much centered to both minors, teens, as well as adults.

I probably might also check in with some QAT and some experienced BAT members asking for their opinion related to this but I do thank everyone who is continue to report maps. ;)

Once the list gets longer you might want to group them by certain genres or categories. For example, English/Japanese/language categories, or maybe also maps with just questionable BGs

Depending on how harsh the lyrics, then probably explicit. Currently so tired, just going to bed. Probably will add more onto the list after school. If anyone who is trustworthy and wish to help add as well as sort beatmaps in the document, send me a private message with your Google account and I'll probably add it to to the edit list.

Well, this got the problem that its extremely subjective. There are parents who dont allow their 15yo kid to play say.. Minecraft because its "violent" while there also are parents that allow their 6yo kid to play stuff like Counter Strike...
And of course, that a lot of people here probably dont have kids nor are nearly as old enough to even think about having kids.

That's a little hyperbolic I think, but it's not an issue. Judging by the maps people report as suggestive, it seems people have a clear idea.

But another scenario that might help: if a Christmas party were to take place, which maps would be okay to show everyone?
