How to start beatmapping?

I'm willing to make a beatmap, I was bored to play the beatmaps made by others, but I don't know what to do first.

I know how to time, I know how to skin, I know how to make beats, but all I don't know, is the art of Osu.

And the ways to learn the art of Osu, is to get higher ranks.

Maybe I should start making Easy diff, and by the step of learning and time and ranking up, I'd become the next RLC.

well you can ask lot of stuff about rank criteria and stuff there

oh, and read the wiki too, maybe there are something useful there
