Bancho's limits before auto-silencing occurs

(Before any questions are asked about this thread's placement, I was referred to this subforum after talking about this in #help.)

Through observation, I've noticed that BanchoBot's auto-mute system can trigger in horribly unfair situations, where clearly no malice or annoyance is meant by any amount of text lines flowing through to another player.

The key type of discussion I want to refer to here is a private chat between two people who are mutual friends. It would, in no way, seem logical that a friend sending large numbers of text lines in a short amount of time to another friend would be doing so purely for the point of irritation or attack. In most cases, this would likely just be friendly banter if anything else.

Another (rare, but idiotic) situation is where a player is managing to send messages to himself/herself. I have seen an instance of a player being auto-muted by BanchoBot for "spamming" THEMSELVES (stated explicitly on said player's player page, no less. Apologies that I don't have a screenshot of this).

These instances pool into my question: Are BanchoBot's preset limits on the number of lines that can be sent through a chat before an auto-silence occurs constant throughout all chats? If this is the case, this can result in some rather unfair mutes on players that never even intended to abuse the chat system. (The two above examples are epitomes of this)

Can BanchoBot understand when a private chat is between two people who are mutual friends, and be more lenient with its auto-mute system in this situation? (Yes, there is also the self-mute example, but that's a far rarer situation, and for now, I'll restrict the scope to this focus)

If not, could it in the future, for the better of chat communication in the community?

Or maybe don't be a dumbass that's probably the best thing to do

Yes, it can be true that some people trigger this just because they were foolish and really did abuse the system.

My point refers to the polar opposite: one who had sent the lines with just reason, only silenced because they crossed the limiter's invisible line by mistake.

Can you provide an example?

Is this possible?

I'd say limiting yourself to max of 4 lines is enough. Or just type a 3 lines long message (I'd rather read this than a single message split into 4-5 lines). Both won't get you tuned out and I don't think you need more than that.

Yeah my friend did this out of curiosity, nearly got a permaban since he managed to get 9 infringements doing it.

not even joking. just don't line spam and you're set. bancho is already rather lenient with this. i see no need to lower it
