Why do I play better in a higher res?

I used to play in 1920x1080 1200dpi, but ages ago I switched to 1440x900 1000dpi, and then 1280x768 600dpi. For fun, I changed my res back to 1920x1080 with 850dpi. I am beating all of my highscores in this new res, and i have no idea why. Can I have an explanation?

Edit: I now play with 850dpi, not 1300 like the Logitech software was reporting. Fixed.

high res means effectively means you're playing at a lower sensitivity. You have to move your mouse more at higher res than at lower res at a set dpi.
