  1. Download an osz package.
  2. Place this file in your songs directory.
  3. Start osu!. If you have osu! open already, hit F5 at the song selection screen to refresh.
  4. Osu! may appear to freeze temporarily - this is because it is extracting the files. Please wait patiently :).
  5. Click away.

What?

This thread doesn't give you any beatmap for you to download. To get beatmaps, you go here.
http://osu.ppy.sh/p/beatmaplist

It's on the toolbar up there, next to Help! and Rankings.

Yes, they are placed in the Songs folder, which can be located in osu!s root folder

You shouldn't have to drag the osz's into the Songs folder manually unless you are loading a lot of beatmaps at a time or you are copying a songs folder from another osu! installation. You can just drag the single osz into the osu! window and it should extract and copy the song to the songs folder automatically. You can also double-click the osz to open it with osu.

Its called a beatmap pack for a reason.

Installation: Once a pack has been downloaded, extract the .rar into your osu! Songs directory. All songs are still .zip'd and/or .osz'd inside the pack, so osu! will need to extract the beatmaps itself the next time you go into Play mode. Do NOT extract the zip's/osz's yourself, or the beatmaps will display incorrectly in osu and will not function properly.

Good lord how do YOU people operate, GOSH

It doesn't say HOW to extract it. On my computer rar files just look like blank documents...
finally~ I got it to work ^^ (you weren't any help)
Mogsy
No need to be absolutely rude. A .rar file can be extracted via WinRAR or 7-Zip.

When he says Song directory, this is what he means:
C:\Program Files\osu!\Songs
THAT is where you extract the files to using one of the means I mentioned. You may have already figured it out, but your attitude is uncalled for.

How do i put maps in osu website
mattyu007
From the editor, simply select File > Upload beatmap...
This also appears in the FAQ

I like how this thread is bumped once every few months by a newb, gets his question answered, and the thread dies again for a few more months.

GET IT.

Also, it would be nice if we knew what songs you like.

EDIT: Final thing. Don't double post, use the edit button.

Ok ok. And I'm sorry for my double post.
And any song will do. If you all like it, then I like it too. ;) ;)

There's nearly 3000 ranked maps. http://osu.ppy.sh/p/beatmaplist&s=4&r=0

Just sort by a genre and/or language that you like or search for songs that you already know. :|

Can I add like folder or something in the song folder to categorize the beatmap the way I like it ?
Too many beatmap make it a little difficult to find...
just a little, because I did use the search option....
