lol at teh China's Great Firewall!

Conguatuation to us! Because of the national firewall, I am no longer able to go to YouTube site since Mar 15th - the biggest video site in the world! LOL!

And of course we have been forbid to Wikipedia, the biggest encyclopedia around the world, and Blogspot, the biggest blog site. Eyny and Uncyclopedia (Hong Kong site) are also no longer avaliable. Even during last Summer, Live.com had been forbid too - then we can not use Hotmail and MSN, so it's avaliable again in Autumn. I'm wondering what could be next - maybe 2CH, the biggest board in Japan, or something like that. I'm in Beijing, the Forbidden City, right?

PS: Forbidden city is the Imperial City of Qing dynasty in Beijing, China.

That firewall must be big enough to be visible from (cyber)space.

Why are they even blocking it, anyway? What sort of harm to the government could possibly be caused by going to wikipedia or youtube? It doesn't make any sense.

Unfortunately, China is ruled by a Government. Life inside is kinda dreadful. They tried so hard to wash the minds of Chinese people with Chinese Propaganda (Maoism). They don't want people to learn how cruel the government has been (e.g. Tianan man Protest) and leave the country!

if orzin shuts down or gets blocked, you could try googling "unblocker" or "proxy" like others have said, but i don't know if they would work on a national firewall,i use sites like that all the time to get past my school's filter(which i shouldn't, realy), and i don't like the idea of being told what sites you cant visit just because you live in china, there's a pretty lengthy explanation of the firewall on wikipedia, and it's understandable why the firewall is there, but i think blocking youtube(i go there every day, does that make me a "youtard"?) is a bit too much.
is niconicodouga blocked too?

whenever I go on it it just shows me the flash, but on the school computers it brings up loads of small windows that bounce around the screen and can't be closed, no fair...
