Links from Osu! don't work

Whenever I get a push or beatmap link or such things in osu, I can't open them. When I click the link just nothing happens.
I think this might have something to do with me recently reïnstalling my google Chrome, but I don't exactly know what.
Also, it's not only from osu but also other games or other things that are not a browser.

I've checked if chrome was my standard browser, because I suspected this might have been the problem, which was not the case.
I can't seem to find any answer to my problem on the interwebz so I hope anybody here can help me.

Anybody know what the problem could be? Because it's damn annoying!

are you sure that there is http:// in front of the url?

And do you have a browser set to automatically open links?

Lol, it should open up automatically right when you click on the link, regardless .

I never thought there would be an option for that .

So when you click links in a game, you won't be send to chrome?
Never had that sort of problems ._.

Check that you have a default browser set.

If Chrome is already the default browser, set other browser as default and see if it works.

Also try leaving the browser window open before clicking links.

I've tried all that before. When I put IE as standard browser it works, only in IE. So for example in firefox, it doesn't o.0
And it's not just links btw, even like clicking the button to go to somebody's profile page doesn't work.
everything that links into a browserpage that does not come from a browser basically.

Hmmm, could it be some program or something wich doesn't allow you to click stuff ingame? I never had these problems ever, so i might not really be a help .-.

This is a long shot but you got nothing to lose for trying:

Save a webpage (eg this thread) as htm or html, whatever your browser tells you.

Now go to file explorer and see what icon it's displayed as (ie which program is associated). Right click for Properties, then under Open With change it to Chrome and see if that helps.

This almost sounds dumb but I once helped a friend with similar (non-osu-related) problem. I dunno what the heck he did to his laptop and why it worked either =.=

Well, anybody who tried to help, thanks! I fixed it though. It was some adware problem.
No fucking idea why it blocked links but ok, it's fixed.

I'm one happy king now, holy shit. That got hella annoying
