The search for the mother of moé (seriousness encouraged)

Basically even Wiki doesn't know the origins of the slang. While browsing through a lot of pages, I've found that even the authors of some characters even call their characters as moé. Obviously something must have sparked this slang, and I'm here to find out.

Post here the oldest reliable references to 'moé. Maybe eventually we can get to the bottom of this.

I won't post the stuff I find until I'm sure that at least some people are helping me :|

Actually, if you look at the three guys in that pic, "Moe" in fact IS the most moe <3
