I want to improve on osu!mania (now improving 7k skill), I use 1366x768 res (Fit screen size) on 14 inch laptop.
I stuck on 2,5 star Converted Beatmap (7k) usually on NM and HD diff, but in 3 stars, I try to Speed Up the Scroll Speed to make easier read but it just pretty fast, but reduce it make it harder to read and I almost cant improve. I haven't tried to play on bigger Screen and I want to know 1st are there any big different playing on small screen and big screen with same Scroll Speed. I Play on laptop using Laptop keyboard, and will buy bigger screen size monitor if that give much different...

My question are just:
Did 1920x1080 on 17 inch screen playing with 15 Scroll Speed and 1366x768 on 14 inch screen playing with 15 Scroll Speed give much different in reading? Like u can see the note longer on bigger screen or the note are look more easier to read on bigger screen or it is just me can't read any faster...

btw thx before :D

Playing with a bigger screen size doesn't help. It just makes everything bigger. It doesn't actually allow you to see more notes on the screen at once. I play on 1280x800 even though my monitor is 1920x1080. Making it any bigger doesn't help. Playing at 1920x1080 is actually a bit harder because everything is too big.

I recommend you pick a size and stick to that. If you change monitors, pick the window size that feels the same as what you're used to.

everything scales to resolution in osu! so it doesnt matter at all. Its just matter of how big things you need to be.

sry, u misunderstand there... I mean u can see the note more readable or not because the screen is bigger and the note feel more readable with bigger screen, but u say big screen will make u harder...

I think he's trying to say you will not be able to see more notes ahead of time with the same scroll speed and bigger resolution. In other words, it's easier to take in what notes to play (in advance) in a smaller screen space/resolution. If the screen space is too big you have to look at a wider area to take in the notes to play.

I hope that clears up your confusion -.-
