my problem is that some songs have more then 1 bpm (e.g. biginning of song 120bmp, middle 300-400bmp) in them and some songs are impossible because in the middle of the song it go super fast and you cart change the mania speed. is there a way to change the speed in the middle of the song like we could before or is there other ways like keep it the same speed of something.
Gumpy
Editor is your friend, also doing that makes a song unranked.

As an osu mania player i find this total Bullpoop

If we were able to change speed mid way on a bpm change, then wouldn't that just make bpm changes obsolete?
Theres a reason why you can only play with 1 specific speed through out a beatmap, and it's a good reason...
Although you can easily just change it at the start...
Just gotta live with it, the only problem i've ever found is that on a beatmap that instantly start with dense streams
i never get the chance to re adjust my speed, especially on multiplayer

I suck at slow jam or fast jam but never have i found it annoying or a problem, it's there for a reason and it makes osu mania fun

we could before and it was perfectly fine im just saying we could at least have it has a option like we did before or something similar. plus i do change the speed at the biginning of the song but thats not really very helpful with more then 1bmp one thats start of slow like 70bmp and the other go over to 300-400bpm if you get what i mean :?

Well theres actually supposed to be an aid arrow that goes by at the start of the song (It shows how fast the song will be at the fastest parts, it actually will overlap with the starter arrow at the start of the song (you can compare the speeds like this))

NOTE: This only works for BPM changes, SV changes have no aid arrows. So you'll have to predict them based on sound or the pattern of the song

Well it could work, but i find it hard to implement in the osu mania ranking systems...
Since any score reducing mods literally means NO PP, I MEAN NOOOONE AT ALL!!!!! Beacuse of the new pp system
If it were to be used as an unranked mod i actually could see the uses, since alot of high SV and BPM changes maps actually have fun patterns and make some unique ones without their respective SV and BPM changes, i mean RD is allowed... And that technically ruins a map in itself...

some mods that reduce your score still give you pp like reducing or highering the keys and i heard that the easy mod ment to give you the same amount of pp as nomal (havent tried it but i heard it a bug)

You can only increase or decrease keys for auto convert maps, mania spesific ones cant be changed... And increasing or decreasing them will make you lose alot of PP (around 30% normally)
EZ mod now literally gives no PP, i got an S on shuffle heaven [SHD]with easy. it used to give around 350 (reduced by 40%) but now it doesn't even give 30...
Thats just how the new PP system for mania works, of course HD, HR,DT wont increase your PP

thanks for the info so there no need for double time now :)

I wrote a program called Scroll that sets all your scroll speeds automatically and consistently. Although it won't completely solve you're problem, it'll at least help you alleviate it because it'll make everything as consistent as it can. Check it out here: t/226611.

Currently the only ranked osu!mania map it messes up on (that I know of) is Big Money, because it's programmed to pick the speed that's active for the longest. This is easily worked around though, as the program also shows the scroll setting it's using for each BPM range. The correct BPM for Big Money is 280, so just manually set it (as you normally would in game) to the scroll speed that Scroll tells you for that BPM.

I still hate Big Money, like how do you even play that slow... Then it goes from slowjam hell to fast jam heaven
(I love fast jam but hate slow jam)
I have no idea how people play that slow...

It's not that bad. You just memorise the rhythm and then hit the notes you see. It's still readable enough because there aren't that many notes.
DothThouHoist
Well i guess... But still, as a person with a very bad sense of rhythm and well, i find it really hard to hit the notes when they come at me that slow>.<
Like, my fingers end up playing on their own, so... till now, any sort of beatmap with slowjam may it be SHD or even MX, i will never pass lol

Edit: Lol my 123'th post

Don't worry, I derp out on slowdowns like that too. Of course, playing FL doesn't help any, but I was like that before FL too.
ikzune
fl mod should just remove all svs and still be classified as ranked~~ but idk, i really think there needs to be a way to balance this for fl players as once you go fl you cant go back and sv changes are a real hinderence on that mod

I don't know how to respond to this.
Drace
You just need to accept the consequences of the playstyle you end up choosing. If you can't, maybe it'd be best to invest time and effort to adapt to a new one. Compromise doesn't have a place in competitiveness.
Bobbias
As a pure FL player, absolutely not. If anything, there should be a mod to remove SVs at the cost of not being rankable. Like Drace said, if you can't accept the strengths and weaknesses if your playstyle, you've got the wrong mindset. As frustrating as SVs can be for me sometimes, I'd never advocate for FL removing them automatically. Even though FL makes SVs harder, it doesn't change the fact that I love (good) SVs.

This is already added into the client. In options disable "Scale Scroll Speed with BPM" (or something like that).
Bobbias
If you disable "Scale Osu!mania scroll speed with BPM" in the options, like Full Tablet mentioned it will be like every song is 100 BPM. You will never have to adjust your speed again, unless you want to practice faster or slower speed (or you find a beatmap that uses too many SVs above 1x).
